Haven't heard from Heller in awhile on these boards. I recall him sharing that he had a condition that would shorten his life expectancy (saddened me to hear then and now). Hoping he is still out there proudly cheering on our Boilermakers.

I guess I missed the post about life expetancy and sure hope he is just busy at this time with things he enjoys

Looks like he has been posting this week, but on the pay side. So hopefully all is well!

I certainly am not making light of any condition Heller may have and hope he is in great health, but...

Isn't being a Purdue fan a condition that shortens your life expectancy? It sure feels like it sometimes.

I was able to get a special rider for my life insurance policy; just needed to provide a certificate from the registrar.

Glad to hear Heller is ok.....and I'm sure enjoying being with his grandchildren.

Yes I hope he is doing well. Whether you agree with him on some of his posts or not, he is well educated, insightful, and knows his facts. My brother is a Pharmacist also and has some of Master Heller's same qualities. I like their candidness.

After moving to Lafayette in Dec 1969, I said I would stay in Layflat until Purdue went to the Rose Bowl again which I expected to occur in a couple of years. A couple of years became a couple of decades and I was advised by an IU fan that I might live forever:(. I proudly showed him my Rose Bowl watch, which I still wear, from the Alumni Association trip to the 2001 Rose Bowl. His answer is not suitable for mixed company! :D
Go Boilers! Boiler UP! Hail Purdue!

Heller is not a Pharmacist but his Pop the Kingfish was a top notch RPh and a great voice on the phone when we called our Muncie Pharmacist Hotline. In less than five minutes information on forged Rx,Bad paper, short change artist etc was shared by every Pharmacy in Muncie/Delaware County.Since I am 84 most of my old Muncie Pharmacy friends are gone.We lost a great one in Leroy Rhea(Owl Drugs)two or three weeks ago.I began at a drug store in Logansport working a fountain 70 years ago and only wish that my sight was better so I could still work at our Pharmacy in North Vernon.

do you know any of the Kohlmeyers in N. Vernon?

Thanks for the concern but I'm still alive. I do have COPD so sometimes life is a struggle. Right now I'm in the process f moving from a 2600 sf three story house to a single story with less than 1800. I'm sure once moved I will be back. Btw Owlbird, my son is a pharmacist but works for Lilly. And yes, I spend as much time as possible with my grandchildren. We also now have a great grandchild. Life goes on....

Congratulations. And I can not wait for you to return and swat some of the flys that have made their way on to our board.
