A better question actually in my mind is not why they continue to interview the guy, but why absolutely NOBODY will confront him while doing so. Upon hearing that garbage response, why is it that nobody at all had the audacity to follow it up with, "You are kidding, right? You just lost by five touchdowns to a mediocre team at best on Homecoming and were outcoached and outplayed in literally EVERY phase of the game but you are heading in the right direction?".
I just saw where Kyle Charters for the coordinators corner bit said that Hudson was pleased/happy with the defense for the first 50 minutes but no so much the last 10...really? If that is really what he said and felt, how could Kyle not point out that by that point they had given up 500 yards of offense, nearly 300 yards rushing (to a team that came in averaging less than 70 per game) and 41 points and then ask him how he could possibly have been pleased/happy with THAT?
Hazell has nothing but cliches and gimmicks to offer...he is a lousy coach in way over his head with a really lousy set of coordinators that were only available because of how bad they were and only willing to accept the offers at Purdue because they had no others available. Hazell is on record as to wanting to make history at Purdue...at least he met one of his goals during his tenure, as he is hands down the worst Head Coach in the history of Purdue football...more impressive, he managed to accomplish that feat while being its highest paid as well.
Hazell is a joke as a coach, just as Burke is as AD...but the media (including those that cover him/them here) is as big a joke at this point.
