Every football coach's empty slogans are apparently in a book on his bedside table.

2 million+ a year and over and over he produces no results but is ready at the press conference with the standard "we won't be defeated" and "heart etc, etc", "desire etc, etc".

The offense still rely's heavily on a read option where if our cinder blocked footed QB fools you he may get a 4-5 yard gain keeping it himself. That's the wrinkle in the offense the Shoop and Hazell think is going to win games at Purdue.

I think asking a 6ft 5 inch QB with block foot speed to run the ball is a lot like asking a used Chevy to race in the Indy 500. It is totally illogical. A QB needs to be able to run or throw. If he can do neither he shouldn't be the QB. If you have a QB that can do neither then the offense needs to be designed in such a way that whatever he can do he can do well inside that offense. Or else why even play the game at all?

Yep he's a walking cliche but damn he does look good in that white turtleneck and vest on game day!!!

I think he stole that from Tressel, maybe he should do what Tressel did and resign... Nah he won't do that even with the writing on the wall. He needs that buyout because he's not ever going to work again at least at this level.
