What changes do we think we will see in DH's final year of his contract?

New coordinators? New schemes? Or do we just need to review the game film more often?

He has 2 more years on his contract after this year.

He gone.

In all realistic terms, what would he have to do for every one to say he has secured himself another year? What would happen if Purdue lost to Nevada but then went 5-4 in the conference to get to a bowl game?

There probably isn't anything that Haze can do to win unanimous support for a 5th year. That's just how bad the first 3+ have been. Winning 9 or 10 games might come close, but that seem laughable at this point.

A winning record in the B1G might earn Haze a 5th year. It's hard to say with a new AD. But, I think the fan base would be divided and underwhelmed at that prospect.

It isn't the Purdue Way (TM) to pay someone to NOT coach. No way MB2 is allowed to fire DH2 while still owing money. Even IF the BOT/President would authorize DH2 to be let go, we would basically have no $$$ to offer a coach for a competitive B1G salary and also staff compensation.

We currently are 10th in the B1G for HC salary and 12/13th for staff compensation.
We get what we pay for, and that is bottom tier.

Yes but maybe the BoT and the President are starting to feel the heat a bit as well. There must be some type of royalties associated with the university that get kicked back from the AD for sales of items like jerseys and such. That has had to have slowed down to a trickle in the last 3 years and Mitch being s money man...he doesn't usually take being in the red lightly. Hopefully he puts a bit of pressure in MBob to make a move, no matter the outcome of the season.

I though Appleby's comments were pretty damning for Hazell and shined a bit of light as to why the program has struggled. If the team simply isn't buying what he is selling AND they don't like him, now you know why the team quits during a game.

If Purdue accepts being one of the worst teams in college football, they should do away with the program. Either do something about it or get rid of it.
