While it's unusual for the site to leave up so much anti-coach topics, if they took them all down, they'd only have posts from two weeks ago (vbg).
That said, the rumor that is most rampant is that Clappy wants to leave and will take the lower dollar buyout so he can then accept the Alabama job.
So, if you believe this, Clappy is going to leave $4.5M on the table just so he can leave a couple of month's early? And, Alabama, who's coach is 116-83 (.583) overall and 53-47 (.530) is going to replace him with IU's coach who's record is 120-106 (.531) overall and 49-74 (.398). Talk about Alabama "shooting for the stars"! dws
$4.5M is a lot of money to leave on the table, lump sum or spread over the remaining contract years (4) and what is it about the Alabama job that is so great that Clappy has to take it now? Let IU terminate him, take the $12M and then find a new job somewhere next year if need be.
