Well lets put it this way, if it was your brother or father with a possibly very serious back or neck injury would you want them riding in a van to the xray room or strapped down on a gurney in an ambulance.
You people are pathetic and yes Speight does have a fracture vertebrae.
There has always been an ambulance or 2 at the stadium and they have strapped hurt players down to gurneys and taken them off the field before and directly to an ambulance.
I assume that is the call of the head trainer of the team the kid plays for and not forced on them by Purdue.
If UM wanted an ambulance they would have gotten one.

My daughter got a fractured vertebrae playing JV basketball. You don't have to strap someone to a gurney for this injury -- and there's no risk of paralysis -- Robbie Hummel played a few years ago with one.
Bottom line of all this is that what's good enough for the rest of the B1G isn't good enough for the $7M man and his 4/5 star NFL prospects, most of whom have probably been catered to their every waking moment since they were in 7th grade.
