Grand Valley full game on Youtube

I only watched the first half, so some thoughts:

1. Man were those announcers horrendous. So the GVSt coach has ties to Purdue because he was an assistant under "Cuzono Martin" at Missouri. Then talked about him now being on the "other bench" tonight. That implies he was ever on our bench because he coached under Martin? Also pronounced Keady's name "Keedy."

2. Harris = Lance Jones. Wow.

3. CJ Cox is a hound dog and has a nice stroke to go along with it. Very excited about him and Harris.

4. Colvin had some nice energy and had a 7-point run by himself.

5. Smith and TKR showed some visible frustration with DJ. Worrisome. In general, very meh performance by the center trio.

They're human. They've been working with the NPOTY for two years; now anybody else out there looks like Bronny James.

I don't care if those announcers were Purdue students looking to get a foot in the door or whatever.

You take the mic for that kind of opportunity, you need to at least know basic information about the Purdue basketball program, pass what is the equivalent of a citizenship test to earn the privilege.

I thought they were GVS students? Were they Boilers? Keedy? lol

I want to see Wadell in the regular playing rotation.
Not sure between Berg and Burgess.
But where? Right now the freshmen guards are playing 3. Aside from them you have Myles Colvin and Cam Heide. Who are you playing him in front of? I like him too, and wish he had an opportunity, but I can't see where it lies.

One thing I've been encouraged by that I haven't seen mentioned much after the exhibitions is Loyer. He just looks confident and his added weight will help as he is looking to go at the rim more and get to the line. What he lacks in athleticism, he almost makes up with angles and craftiness.

I think we see him turn a pretty big page from a consistency standpoint. Some might have been a little naive in thinking underclassman Fletch automatically equalls upperclassman Fletch. I'm sure he has a pretty big chip on shoulder after being shutout in the title game and seems to be playing with an edge.

Against GVS, I didn't see much heart or good defensive stance from Colvin.
That side of the ball is very important. And Waddell is solid all-round. Plus
I love how he blew past his man baseline, help defender came over, and Brian
dished it to Furst for an easy 2. Wadell is fully healed from his ACL injury now.
And remember NBA scouts wanted to know who Brian was when they were watching
Ivey. Colvin needs to show way more on the defensive end of the court in my opinion.
