Good morning to all the Brohm haters

They’ve mostly found something else to be doing the past 24 hours it seems

How we doing this morning?
Good morning, pot stirrer!
I don't recall seeing your name associated with any posts defending the great and venerable Brohm.

Enjoy your mediocrity filled day! Brohm could win out, and I would still equate the 2 losses with poor coaching by Brohm and English.

Look up Matt Painters post practice interview, he personally stated without being asked, that Purdue should have won the Big ten and advanced further in the tournament!
That's the kind of attitude you want to see in a head coach, strive for perfection!

Brohm is far from perfect and I’m not saying he’s the only guy who could be successful at Purdue. He checks a lot of boxes for me. He’s good with QB’s and passing offense. I am pleased with the progress on defense.

I want to see better OL development, even though we’ve seen modest improvement this year. I want to see better RB play over the long term. I like the WR and TE play under Brohm, but this year it’s not been great.

I have criticism of Brohm, but to say that he’s not a top 25 coach would be a mistake. Is he as good as Painter? I’d say no. Painter is damn good IMO. He has his flaws as well.

Agree…but…not a state school, not a football power….not a recruiting hot bed.

This is what you get.
I call bullshit. This is what you get with an administration that rewards mediocre. it has been so long since Purdue played at a high level generations of graduates never experienced it and have been led to believe it is impossible. Rose Bowl in 2001 and last FF in 1980. Purdue was even ranked number one in football in 1968 and the Big10 was much tougher top to bottom.

There were a lot of Hazell losses that could have been wins if our receivers knew how to catch the ball and if our defense didn’t tire out in the 4th quarter and allow the other team to just grind out the clock running the ball. Then there was his stupid philosophy of using quick undersized defensive ends rather than big strong ones. By the 4th quarter, they had nothing left after always running around big 10 offensive lines! Hazell also had an awesome eye for talent. He just had a bad habit of only recruiting QBs,RBs, WRs and DBs. We always had great depth at those positions. And wasn’t this the era when that tremendous weight training / conditioning facility was opened? That has sure made a tremendous difference in the strength and conditioning of our athletes over what they used to use! I have no idea how Todd Light became as strong as he did without using that facility! It was an awesome investment of JPC money. Almost as great as the end zone cafe! Brohm brought a pass happy offense to the big 10! Purdue fans are estatic. What they forgot is that in the big 10 running the ball is what wins games in the BIG10. Look at uw, Iowa and MSU last year and Illinois this year. Passing works at WKU and UTSA and the south, not in the Big10. If it rains, snows is windy or cold, it’s a loss. Was Hazell or hope really that bad? I’d like Brohm a lot more if he was being paid Hope’s salary and I’d be a lot more forgiving and accepting of his losses and shortcomings. Schedule wise, this was Purdue’s easiest schedule in the past decade. Will they manage to get 8 wins? Will they manage to get 6? Not if they don’t make adjustments or if it rains or is cold! Every team now knows about our weakness in our secondary and are exploiting it. Graham’s return did nothing. I hope Allen and trice get their degrees!

C'mon Wole - Darrell Hazell was 9-33 @ Purdue, 3-24 (with two wins over Illinois) in conference. I'm sure he's a fine man and had the best of intentions, but he was way in over his head leading the Purdue football program.

Once again, this is way offbase. The best players Hazell had were mostly players Hope recruited and they chose to stay. Guys like Bentley came to Purdue because of ND’s now FB HC more than Hazell. John Shoop and Greg the DC were disasters. Hazell wasn’t a great recruiter at all. Purdue routinely was 13th or 14th in the recruiting rankings when he was HC.

Todd Light (sp) played DB for Notre Dame. Did you mean Matt Light?

Not a hater but after the first two close loses and the last two where Purdue laid an egg in all aspects of the game I am not as fond of him due to the results of this season. We should have done BETTER!
If we win out and go 8-4 as BIG West champs, does that change your view on this? No doubt, we let a couple of games slip away and could have been 10-2 or so, but this team isn’t quite that good. We won some close games too - FAU, Minnesota, and Maryland.

I’ll be on record as a pot stirrer, Brohmco has traditionally been the short term plan all along with Louisville as the long term plan. Brohmco hasn’t been following up with recruits which is why we have had some high profile recruits decommit and also why there have been others seemingly ignored. GBI in the day couldnt comment on these multiple events. Brohmco expected us to have a great year year due to weak schedule and a poor Louisville performance. Now we have seen a weak Brohmco performance and decent Louisville year so now Brohmco is faced with their worst nightmare; a terrible Purdue season all things considered and a decent Louisville season. Brohmco has completely ignored recruiting (which they have for some time hence our best skill players now are walk ons). We as fans are left with almost the worst case scenario. I for one welcome the day Brohmco fully leaves West Lafayette (Brohmco has always been a tip toe in only) and we can’t move on until he leaves otherwise we will get more of the same. The worst case scenario is another couple of years stuck with a nepotistic coaching staff only trying to do enough to move on. I hated the Hazell and Hope years but the Brohm years will prove to be way way worse than those for so many reasons. It is time to move on from Brohmco. Every game we don’t dogs us into a hole deeper than Hazell ever created.

This is complete bull$hit. 5-4 is a horrible season? This is so over-the-top I don’t know where to begin.

We have had numerous recruits decommit? Who? This cycle it’s only Rickie Collins so far, and his home town school (LSU) gave him an offer he couldn’t refuse - literally.

Yes this record with the weakest schedule in decades is a horrible season.

Know how I know this is bullshit?

If Brohm always wanted out so bad, he’d have taken the Tennessee job when offered. If he wanted to be in Louisville so bad, he’d have taken the job when offered.

I do believe he has NFL aspirations and would eventually jump ship to get there but he’s gotta do a whole heck of a lot better than 8-4 and a bowl win here to get that.

He’s not out tanking recruiting.

Go troll some where’s else please.

One of the dumbest posts on here. I did a double take to make sure the ignore of Wolegib didn’t go away when they switched to Boiler Upload.
We’ve had one decommit and the reason is very obvious.
Brohm cried when talking about how he disappointed his family and stayed at Purdue. He brought his whole dang family here even his son is integrated haha he has more than a tiptoe in. I can’t believe you think the brohm years are worse than Hazel are your kidding me!
