And then fell apart and blew the lead and tied it to go into OT only to be done 75-69 with less than a minute left.

I feel bad for Whitney Bays. She played a great game, just can't do it all without help. 5 assists with 12 turnovers in the first half along with poor FT shooting and our guards looking like they were playing through a hangover just won't get us many victories. Keys played a good game with energy some of the other bigs could have used.

This team ran out of gas and does not have the firepower that OSU had especially that incredible player Mitchell. Having no bench, you can understand why Versyp left her starters in for that long but they were dead in the OT. Ironically had we hit one of 3 fts in regulation that we missed we would have won. Aiming for the NIT at best now I think. Hard to fathom that this program has so few players on its roster who can play significant minutes. Tough loss and with Rutgers coming up, we easily could go under .500. If that happens, my guess is that it has been years since a Boiler team was under ,500 this late in the season.

Just watched the replay. You are correct that the Boilers were completely gased in the OT - particularly Bays. What a great game she played, but needed more help down low. We desperately need to get Perry back to give us another scoring option and more rebounding.

OSU has lost three players for the season and played seven players in game versus eight by Purdue. Conditioning appeared to be a factor and ine team was gassed and the other team had a strong second wind!

Sadly that is true. This was a huge loss for this team. Can't afford to blow big leads at home. OSU had that incredible shooter and we did not. Ohio Ms. Basketball for us--2-16. Equals a loss, tho it is not on Morrisette alone. Winning this game could have created some real momentum. Wondering about NIT now.

Maybe Purdue should have hired Mitchell instead of Kormara? I love Kelly, but you see what happens when for a vacant assistant's position you hire the dad of one of the top recruits in the country.

I still remember when my hometown, Goshen had a basketball coach opening in the mid seventies. After a guy named Roger Tuggle was given the job and didn't live up to expectations, it was later reported in the paper that Bob Macy wanted the job but the school board said they weren't interested. Kyle, his son would have been a junior then. Goshen was pretty good those two years but with Kyle Macy...wow. I'm all in for doing this now. Opportunity knocks...answer.
