I'll accept this scenario but would prefer IU to lose so that they don't get a 2 or 3 seed in NCAA's. I wouldn't mind Boilers playing Illinois on Thursday before playing Iowa on Friday. A couple opportunities to right some wrongs from

You are "spot on" here. Some years PU has trouble with the "I" teams (Illinois, Iowa & Indiana). The years PU does very well is when they handle the "I" teams or at least don't get shut out by them. So, victories over the "I" teams in the tournament is essential. Go Boilers!
Actually, I was pretty confident that Iowa would come through due to the fact that Robert Johnson was injured and James Blackmon Junior was out for the year. I also looked at Uthoff's progression and regression this year as it related to how he came back after two previous disappointing games and the stars were aligned for a big game. It's not like he didn't have a big game but I was anticipating a huge game from him and from Jok, they were both hit and miss and I thought they would be hit (especially at home), boy was I wrong and was wrong about how Yogi would perform (who has been struggling in his own right up to that point). I trudged through the big plate of crow for sure on that one and can't believe how wrong I was. I also predicted a Purdue win over IU as well because I thought the bigs (hammons, haas, & biggie) would just be too much for the outsized hoosiers and knowing they have zero backup for Thomas Bryant.
But I'm using the same logic for this game and it adds up to a complete domination of Maryland over IU. They will have no answer for Layman, Stone, Carter Jr. and the rest, just no answer at all. And the reason I think this will be an accurate prediction as opposed to my previous predictions is that IU has already climaxed due to their over-zealous coach and how he celebrates way too early and over-reacts to the Big Ten regular season campaign, which is a farce. It all spells gloom in "Doomington" today on a national stage, and I can't wait.

Why are are so many IU fans over here? As well I know one person tried to down play a loss to Penn St. But blast us for Illinois. If i recall yesterday it took Penn St. 2 ot's to close out that horrible team at home. Both are as bad as the next! But you'll some how justify that it's not.

The PSU loss was horrible and should never have happened. I think Chambers is a good coach but PSU is a bad team that IU should have spanked. It would have been even more awesome to win the league by 3 full games instead of just 2.

Purdue will likely face IU on Saturday. IU's getting more banged up as every game goes by. Morgan has been giving you solid minutes, but he looks to be on-the-shelf now with a bum shoulder.
