Glen Robinson or Rick Mount

Do you think Richard Mount's parents had a different, somewhat frowned upon career in mind for him when they named him that?

Glenn Robinson is the better all-around player...who played in the NBA...no contest!
Glen Robinson I saw from high school on there was nothing he could not do Mount as soon as he crossed half court was lethal remember no 3point shot back then only the way the pros played back then as to now kept him from being big time

Who was better?
Big dog had it all. One of the best college players I've seen on any roster. Complete player. I'll go a step further and say painters personality test creates teams with nice guys that get along but you need a dominant personality as well. It's the same in business imo. It's easy for a manager to manage several go along nice people but if you want results you need a guy that doesn't mind pissing in people's cheerios. Sure. You have to clean up a mess sometimes but you also get better results. Glenn wasn't the go along type for those around purdue back then and he was exactly what keady needed. Matt should remember.

Mount got us to the final game of the NCAA Tournament, and if you could have gotten by with mugging Alcinder, back then, the way people get by with mugging Zach, we might have been national champs. And no, I'm not bitter.

It is funny to me that board members who clamor for March results is ALL that matters.....turn around and say GRob was the best who did less in March.

I was not one of those, & GRob clearly better all around.... especially on D.

Mount was a great player who would play in today's 3 pt NBA and likely be an all star with his 3 pt shooting.

I watched both play. Both belong in the top of any discussion. Neither had the accomplishments of John Wooden on the court he won a National Championship and was a three time All American and no I didn't watch him play.

You think Mount didn't play in the NBA?
Through a very bizarre set of circumstances, I was a friend of Mount's, my daughter was a friend of Big Dog and I was semi-close to Joe Barry. I don't think there is any contest who was the best basketball player (which assumes all-around). Big Dog was everything a coach could ever want in one body. Mount was skinny as hell and never wanted to play defense. Joe Barry was just a great guy who overcame some personality issues to become all he could be. He is a rarely mentioned Super Boiler.
