Just wanted to say thanks for the blog regarding what a huge gift Jon Octeus was, and for the role Ed Schilling plYed in doing what was best for Jon but also helping out Purdue. I'm glad Painter kept ties, but also believe that he owes Ed a debt of gratitude. I played against Schilling coached Logansport teams, and also got to know Ed from coaching camps. He is a great guy! I posted awhile back the same sentiments you posted and got blasted as a Painter hater, because I spoke hyperbole about the gratitude I feel Painter owed Ed, so thanks for your blogs all year but especially the last one, I am a believer that this team absent of Octeus is probably .500 at next in the big ten.
