Gas @ $3.99 and increasing to $4.25+

JS told me the price of gas two years ago, and that’s it. Yay, he can Google. Although it was more factual than anything you’ve laid out so he gets some credit there.
The drastic, sudden increase of gasoline is the basis for this thread you dolt!
I told you to reference the multiple threads above that point out numerous Biden policies that caused this sudden and drastic increase.

Obviously, there are some real reading comprension & understanding problems with PF1. Finally, decided in my discussions with him the topic was way above his ability to think, proccess and comprehend reality.

You’re losing the plot here, not that you had one.

Also, it’s your opinion that we wouldn’t have these gas prices if Trump was still in office. I’m betting most economists would vehemently and happily disagree with you, but you do you, boo.

I voted for Biden because it’s fun seeing the Trump cult melt down so easily.

Finally, I’m not justifying anything. You’re just full of shit.
Are these the same Nobel winning economists that assure us that more Fed spending doesn't increase the deficit?

You voted for Biden because you are likely the dumbest person on earth judging from your total lack of comprehension and ability to think as demonstrated in this thread.

You provided ten observations and didn’t tie one of them as a true cause for the increase in prices. Try again.

And spare me the lecture on manners when your fellow mental midgets hurl insults left and right. Chastise them and then get back to me. Until then, cry more.
JFC how GD stupid are you? I can't even imagine being as stupid as you are ? Mental midgets are giants to you.

You listed readily available information on gas prices from a couple years ago. Congrats on your Google skills.
Dude wiping his ass is more skills than you posses on your own. Do you just try to find ways to be stupid? You have been on this crusade that Biden has nothing to do with this mess. How seriously stupid are you?

What in the actual fukk are you yammering on about? You dipshits can’t even stay on point. First it’s a nonexistent pipeline that would have done nothing to gas prices. 03 stayed $500m in savings. Spread over what? So then we move on to leases and permits. Never mind there are plenty of unused leases and permits out there. But oh because you weren’t told that by Fox then I’m full of shit. And that’s just it. When presented with the counter, you just divert and backpeddle and resort to fifth grade behavior. You and the rest of your brain trust on here have been asked time and time again how a pipeline that doesn’t exist is going to help. And the ONLY response I get is from a YouTube conspiracy whacko that links me to an 11 year old opinion piece and says oh hey $500m is gonna make a hell of an impact without anything to back that up. Woo boy yeah that’s gonna do a lot. Then again, what do I expect when I’m talking to a group with the combined IQ equivalent of a dried out dog turd.
Nice childish response. But you are a hack. You brought up leases the day after Psssssaku did. It’s press release politics. I assume the talking heads on your shows regurgitate I was merely pointing out the falseness in your argument.

Simple question. A large part of the pipeline was already constructed. Why did the Administration sign an executive order to stop it?

Also, the tax payers will be paying out millions in settlements in damages to companies, individuals, and State and local municipalities due to its stoppage. Do you agree that this is a good use of tax payer money?

And can you give me a quick summary of the Net Zero Banking Alliance? Who supports it? And what are its goals?

Most non-partisan people can simply look at the price of gas and figure out what this admin is doing. You are so partisan you are blind to this.

But since you want specifics.....here are just 10 ways Biden is increasing costs.....
1. New EPA oil and gas rules passed in Nov 21 which added $1 billion to energy costs.

2. Biden overturned Trump admin EPA reforms which added lots of regulatory costs to energy.

3. Even though Biden has allowed new oil and gas leases on federal lands, he has restricted the front range of Alaska a highly oil fertile region. An example is suspending leases in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge.

4. The admin canceling the Keystone XL pipeline causing oil to be moved by more expensive trains. Trump would have seen to it this pipeline was expedited like he did with vaccines.

5. The Waters of US rules passed increase new regulatory barriers to energy production where they pass through these "waters"

6. This admin is scaring the energy industry with new standards for particulate matter and ozone, likely tightening them to unachievable levels....this is a big halt for oil industry planning. Thus increasing costs due to unknowns.

7. Biden Endangered Species Act reforms, will increase red tape and allow litigation to slow down energy projects.

8. In April 2021, Biden rejoined the Paris agreement, which will result in onerous new regulations that could raise energy costs. Hard for oil industry to plan with these unknowns.

9. The president has increased & appointed several unaccountable regulators within the White House charged with creating new policies to regulate energy. The people who run these councils are unelected and have the ability to create broad costly energy regs. The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission carbon pricing policy realsed in April is an example of this.

10. A section of Biden's Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, requires states to develop costly state carbon-reduction plans that must be approved by the U.S. Department of Transportation as well as be updated every four years. Biden EPA regs on carbon emissions regs greenhouse gas emissions will raise costs on cars and cause rising energy costs.

You can add full support for the Net Zero Banking Alliance which removes funding sources for small and medium business exploring and producing fossil fuels.

Did anyone ever watch Backyard Oil on DSC? I think it was DSC channel, hillbillies in Kentucky drilling wells literally in their back yards? It was actually kind of interesting . The amount they were bringing in wasnt going to help the problem now but sure as hell would be nice having one out back . I remember in lower MI along US 12 stuck out in fields you would see a lone or maybe 2 small pumps slowly pumping away filling a tank that would come get hauled off. Cass county MI used to have some too.
Yeah. This is crazy. I worked with Tribal governments so I drove upstate Michigan a lot and I would remember being in some obscure stretch and seeing a couple and was like what the hell? I think there were some outside traverse city too.

A large part of what pipeline was constructed, XL? The second segment was 1200 miles and I don’t see where any of that was completed. Sounds like a lot left to be built to me but I guess we have different definitions of what constitutes a large part of something being done.

Plot.....
I was asked by your fellow lib to provide ways Biden raised gas prices. I provided 10 ways!

You then wish to discuss Trump so I did. Apparently, not to your liking.

You then in true lib manner, use a curse word in frustration resulting from your a poor losing argument.
Predictable.

When Purduefan1 or Indy35 loses an argument (which is often), they usually just scream "RACIST!!!" and switch topics.

Materials for use in the laying, contracts. Labor. I think you really think the construction of a pipeline is screwing some pipes together you buy from Home Depot. You think hundreds of skilled pipe fitters are just hanging out in the Dakotas? And that a couple thousand guys can come into the middle of nowhere and are plenty of hotel rooms at the Hyatt, Hilton, and Marriott.

But I had two simple questions. Why did they cancel the permit?

And what is the purpose of the NZBA (sorry if first time you are hearing about. Darn you Rachel Maddie).

Truth. Just look at the recent thread twin started. He couldn't refute anything so cranked up his TDS and made some stupid comment. He is such a predictable little Xi loving bitch.

I was “happy “ to only pay $4.99 at Kauai Costco yesterday. They had a $100 limit so I wasn’t able to top off but the good news is this should last me at least 3 weeks

The pipeline was never going to be completed by now anyway, so whatever point you think you’re making is moot. It also wasn’t going to make much, if any, change in gas prices because it was going to carry tar sands oil from Canada to the gulf where refineries were most likely going to sell it to other countries anyway.

Your guy approved it right after getting into office? If it was that critical, why didn’t he get it built? He had four years. You’re the one who seems to think it’s some pvc from Home Depot. Then again, that’s how the simpleton mind works. You conveniently ignore the period of time that it COULD have been built because you’d rather double down on your dumb takes.

Oil is sitting at less than $100/barrel right now. Curious that gas hasn’t dropped yet though, isn’t it?

Again, go check all of your MAGA shit. All of that cheap shit is made in China, so if there’s a Xi-loving little bitch, that bitch is most certainly you, you commie-lover.

The Keystone XL would have been completed in 2013 if Obama hadn't blocked it.
And I heard Biden say it would take 2 more years to complete. The sad thing is we would only be one year out if he wouldn’t have canceled on day one of taking office. Additionally oil futures would be lower if the anticipated supply were literally in the pipeline

What's my point? Are you of the retard genre? My point is that the Keystone XL would have been completed years ago if it had not been blocked by Democratic presidents.
I’ll wait on one of your fellow right wing bruhs who cry when someone uses an insult to chastise you for using the R word especially.

But again, what’s your point? It could also have been built by TFG. I honest to god do not know what the infatuation by the right is with this pipeline. It was not intended to be used for fuel in this country. Why do you keep overlooking that? I mean I know why you do, because it doesn’t fit your narrative. But my god, let it go

Years of lawsuits by left-leaning eco-freaks and liberal special interest groups.
I don’t know how you do it, SD, but you always manage to find the dumbest post by one of your right wing troll friends……and post something even dumber. Bravo.

Oil is below $100/barrel right now , and again, the pipeline could have been built and finished by TFG but wasn’t. The selective memory here is something to behold. Did you copy/paste this from Tulsi or something?

Nope, I heard Biden say in his own words yesterday that the Keystone pipeline would take another 2 years to complete. What is ironic he just admitted we’d be one year away if he hadn’t canceled the project after taking office. Even if 100% of the oil was exported this would lower the cost per barrel. Additionally I find it amusing that the liberal talking point is Keystone wouldn’t make a difference because it’s years from completion. It would be like telling a Purdue freshman to drop out of college because it’ll take another 3 years to see any benefits

Your analogy would make sense if, for the billionth time, the pipeline’s main benefit was going to be for this country. But it wasn’t, so your analogy is pointless.

But okay, if it lowers the cost per barrel, then explain why prices are still so high when it’s dropped below $100/barrel now?

The guy you voted for had every chance to get it built, fully operational, during his time in office. But he didn’t. So really the blame lies with his administration here.

**** off. Do some research. The XL pipeline faced years of lawsuits by eco-freaks and lefty special interest groups. That’s a fact. The lawsuits did hold up construction in some key parts of the pipeline.

It’s so easy to get you all mad. Mercy you’re a snowflake.

As with anything of this scope, there are going to be challenges and lawsuits etc. You tossing out dumb shit like eco-freaks and lefty special interest groups isn’t making the case you think it is. I guarantee you that there are a lot of Trump-loving dummies like yourself along the pipeline’s route that didn’t want it rolling through their town or backyard.

Increased global supply would decrease cost. The cost per gallon of gas increases quicker with increased cost per barrel than when it decreases due to oil producers assumed risk. However overtime the price goes down.. Trump wasn’t the holdup. It’s my understanding there were legal obstacles. Additionally Trump got ANWR approved after a big fight but that is now shut down. I remember Obama saying a lot of the same talking points when oil went up when he was in office but Trump proved him wrong just like the next Republican President will prove Biden wrong

You are correct, most of the oil coming down the Keystone XL was not intended to be used for fuel in this country. It was going to be refined by US refineries on the Caribbean coast for nations in the Gulf. But of course, we will now need to use US oil or imported oil to fulfill those needs. Do you understand that?

Please name 1 right-leaning special interest group that filed a lawsuit to stop the building of the XL Pipeline. That’s what I thought - you can’t, because there are none.

Yeah, so then why the fukk do you keep crying about the pipeline then?

I don’t know what all goes in to the price of a gallon of gas, I’m no expert. I do know gas prices spiked right along with the spike in oil prices. Oil has dropped over 20% in the past week, has there been a subsequent drop in gas prices yet? I find CNBC to be a good source of info on topics like this, follow the money right. What I’ve seen and heard from execs over the past couple weeks is big oil companies posting big profits, blowout quarter and yearly reports. Also reporting strong forward guidance and an emphasis on directing profits toward shareholders, increasing dividends and in some cases doubling stock buyback programs. Not much mention of increasing supply by utilizing the thousands of unused leases representing millions of acres of unused land for drilling. While the internet bickers about how much to blame Joe, Big Oil swims in wads of cash, and they don’t even need to hide it because they have a legion of it’s Joe’s fault internet warriors to run interference for them
