Games for Fri, 1/12...

I thought yesterday was slim pick'ns. Slim Pickens actually crawled out of his grave, knocked on my door and sajd, "It's worse tonight". I just said, "RIP". Only 22 D1 games tonight, and none of them are ranked.

If you can stomach it, there is one B1G game:
7pm Nebraska(3-2,12-6) at PennSt(2-3,12-6) BTN

One featuring two Purdue opponents:
6:30pm Marquette(12-5} at Butler(12-6) FS1 (At Hinkle baby!, "I love you guys")

Anybody watch Iowa/Illinois last night. Iowa was down 20pts at Illinois, and came all the way back to win in OT, 104-97. I heard there was a run on the ticket window after the game, asking for partial refunds on season tickets. It was like the run on the bank in, "It's a Wonderful Life". Ok, ok....fake news. It would've been tough to stay with that one once the Illini got up by 10. After it's over, you kick yourself. Damn, I should've watched it!
Reminds me when Iowa came from 17pts down in W.Lafayette,1/2/16, to pull the Boilers pants down, and say, "Peek-a-boo". Watch out for the press. That was a shocker.

The Pacers play LeBron & the Cavs tonight at 7pm in Bankers Life Fieldhouse. The Raptors spanked him 99-133 last night. Spanked him like in the Animal House fraternity. "Thank you sir. May I have another?"

For you Tayson Parker & NWHS fans, 7:30pm (3A)Northwestern(9-2) plays at #4(2A)Tipton(8-1).

Not sold on the Eagles, Pa.....with Foles @ QB. Atlanta is hard to figure this year, but they have some weapons; that game seems like a coin-flip to me.

Boilers better be ready to play....I think they will be, but the Gophers are somewhat backed in a corner now.....I expect a dogfight in the Barn.

Boilers better be ready to play....I think they will be, but the Gophers are somewhat backed in a corner now.....I expect a dogfight in the Barn.

With total respect for your prediction ... I see tomorrow as a total annihilation. We will get our come-uppance sometime in the next month, but I think we will steamroll tomorrow.

Besides, it's fun to play with the crystal ball ...

No problem, DDD; I'm cautiously optimistic.....maybe overly so. I'm really enjoying watching this team and seeing the development and transition under Coach Painter.

Atlanta's D got better this year on not allowing the long pass but are still suseptible to the short passing game which is up Foles alley, they had 2 weeks to prepare, Ryan is a local kid and is 1- 4 vs the eagles, Falcons had a physical game vs the Rams and the travel involved going to the west coast then going up to Philly w/ only 3 practice days in between. Telling stat of the day, when the Falcons score over 19 points they are 11-0 when under 19 they are 0-6. Philly's D has given up alot the last 2 weeks but think they we on cruise since clinching the Division.
