Hammons struggled mightily to start the season from the line. At one point, he was shooting 58.3% on 21 of 36 free throws. But over the past eight games, he's 22-30 for 73.3%, including hitting 10 of his last 12 free throws.

He was a 70.1% free throw shooter last season but had a similarly slow start, shooting just 26-42 (61.9%) in the first 9 games. After that, he made 75-102 (73.5%).

I could be wrong (and I hope I don't jinx him) but I don't think we need to worry about Hammons' free throw shooting the rest of the way. Coach Painter said last week that there is nothing wrong mechanically and I think he is correct.

Now Haas on the other hand has made just 14 of his last 35 free throws (40%). After starting the year as Dr. Jekyl and Mr. Hyde (with good games and bad), he's been all Mr. Hyde of late. His form wasn't good to begin with but I've got to think his struggles are in his head a bit now as well.
