This is gonna sound dumb but what is the purpose of it? Like, was Chet Holmgren a danger to the other team in that game? Is it just a tool for lesser teams to compete with better teams? A way to make the product on the floor less entertaining? I genuinely don’t understand why it’s a rule. Give these guys 8 fouls each (but maintain team foul/free throw rules) and let the actual teams determine the outcome of the game.
