You are correct. Had a successful track career at Texas.
He wasn't a football player. We didn't under-utilize him, he was very fast but could not translate that speed onto the football field.

As si boiler could tell you my son is more into jumpers and decathletes than sprinters. When in Columbus , give him a call. His all conference high jumper suffered an Achilles injury and is out for at least the indoor season, probably outdoor as well after being an Olympic qualifier last year. This year has been kind of a down year. Maybe he’ll get fired.
Purdue is doing surprisingly well on the indoor season this year. There’s a big meet this weekend.

Don’t talk about me and I won’t talk about how successful the OSU track team is! It’s interesting the OSU site doesn’t badmouth my son or myself!
And if you people ever want free OSU football tickets, don’t ask me! I don’t consider you as my personal friends! If you see someone on the 5th row up on the 20 yard line. That’s me. I sit with the OSU recruits. It’s funny, they don’t talk about Purdue or IU very much. I know how you all love to discuss IU on this board! it’s funny because nobody else does!
So remember my promise. This is not a threat, it’s a promise! You talk about me or my son, and I will respond 10 fold!
And for SI Boiler. In 5-10 years, my son will be THE HEAD COACH at SIU. I’ll tell him to look you up!
A little known off the subject fact that only SI. Boiler knows. On that basketball and football team that fell short of winning that state championship you so desired, there were 4 Eagle Scouts and three players that have become very successful coaches! One has a state jr high championship, one has an ncaa championship and the third is a successful division 2 college coach. All three came from the same Carterville high school team that so disappointed their fans who yelled and screamed at them when they made mistakes! I sat in the front row and heard the boos! I’m sorry my son didn’t deliver to you what you craved! He moved on with his life, but thanks you for preparing him to meet life’s challenges and take the high road! Say what you want, but you can’t diminish or take away his accomplishments.
