Outside of the football facility, there isn't a timeline on the rest from what I can tell. Purdue really likes adding massive concrete walking lots though. Lot of concrete in this picture! The whole area around Ross-Ade is concrete - it's pretty ugly.

I still don't really understand the overall vision (and this is going back to previous projects). What are they doing with the existing area of Mollenkopf? Everything just seems to be disjointed.

I think it would have been cool to build the FB facility along the west side of Mollenkopf, building it into the side of Ross-Ade. You could add a tunnel at the bottom of the student section in Ross-Ade that would lead into the facility/Mollenkopf and they could use their football facility on gameday.

I did notice Joe Tiller in the video when talking about our football tradition, and I also notice no sign of Hazell in the video, especially when mentioning the future. Read into that what you may.

Well, D Haze hasn't established his legacy just yet. So, they are probably waiting on that.

Just great. For all of us who still remember when Fred Akers told us to build it and they will come and football success will follow I say "shove it where the sun don't shine". It took two more iterations of football coach selection to get the train back on the track and now here we are again with another train wreck. If they do what it looks like they are proposing on the south end which builds into the "A" parking lot with some more glitz with the end result being to eliminate parking spaces then I will be done with JPC contributions. I am seriously considering cutting back next year in # of football tix as it is like winning a free trip to Cleveland to offer anyone a ticket to a Purdue football game. Have to wonder if a brown bag for the head is included.

The frustrating part is that it is like buying a car or computer; as soon as it is done, and gets us close to par, the other schools will take the next step and we will be dated. My hope is they don't wait 25 years again to fix something. Maybe reevaluate every 10 years.

I still remember MDC last year (before he passed away) who was a major contributor to the point he got to travel with the team to various venues stating unequivocally that Purdue was not that far behind and in many cases ahead in comparable facilities with other BIG members. I think this "arms race" is bs because it is much easier to solicit $$ for brick and concrete than it is to explain hiring failures and poor contract negotiations. It gives those in high $$ income levels a few more years to milk the Purdue cow before heading out to pasture and enjoy a lucrative retirement. It also provides a strategy (albeit a poor one IMHO) to make up the revenue losses that a half empty stadium cause. I can just hear MB bsing the BOT and Mitch with "all we need are new football facilities and a renovated Ross-Ade and we will return football to previous greatness".

I agree. Comparing what we had to the rest of the conference in 1997 was bad. We made some upgrades. I remember seeing some other places 2004 and thought we were on par. Now you go to a Minnesota or IU or the other " mid-level" places we are behind. This project will bring us up and the hope for me is to maintain that level.
