Purdue pays him $6-$7 mil a year after he wins big and maybe we hold off the “big boys”. Lots of ifs, and he doesn’t seem to be strongly money driven, but if we do start winning big PU has the money to keep him no matter who comes calling. You could argue we have plenty of money now if needed to keep him (though still too early in his career here to start throwing Monopoly money at him).
