When was last Big game he coached well in and Purdue actually won?Never ready to play in big games. Can't inspire anyone. Same old story.
Against Michigan State last year at home? The only truly big game he won last year.When was last Big game he coached well in and Purdue actually won?
Pagano might be gone very soon.He won't be fired, but mediocrity reigns in West Lafayette until he is. As a Colts fan, this is like Pagano. Not a very good coach but does just enough to hang on.
could not agree more, not prepared, no game plan, lets other teams dictate the style of playWhen was last Big game he coached well in and Purdue actually won?
You forgot to mention he never makes the right adjustments at half-time.could not agree more, not prepared, no game plan, lets other teams dictate the style of play
Bumping for prosperity!

Ha true story!I think you meant "posterity"
As a military guy, you must have special appreciation for those who fly off the handle in a stressful situation. Such an admirable quality in any individual!
Realists = crickets
That's why I quit posting until after the game.Never ready to play in big games. Can't inspire anyone. Same old story.
Personally I think CMP has made some great strides this recent offseason. I don't know what he did, but he is a different coach and is making really good decisions with adjusting and seems more animated towards the officials. Keep it up CMP!Painter made adjustments better than I have ever seen. He sat Haas who was just getting outmatched and went with a smaller lineup. Dicky V even said the adjustment won the game. I am critical of Painter, but he did an incredible job. The guys came out at halftime and you could see the difference. They were playing defense better and they were more aggressive. This was a very good sign to give hope for a tournament run. They didn't collapse at the end.
you have to play 40 minutes. we had iowa down 19 early in second half and lost. this game we hung in due to painters adjustments.Never ready to play in big games. Can't inspire anyone. Same old story.

Totally different talent level this year in key positions. Not to mention a year's experience for most of the players and for Painter with the team. With more guard play, the team is quicker and I think they've become more basketball smart. Of course hitting three's at a nice clip doesn't hurt either.

.... .Too the fellas making comments about the "negative nancys", the first half played out like every first half we've seen for a long time and we all expected it to continue in the second half, it was nice to finally see a good outcome...kudos to Painter for making adjustments and kudos to Vince Edwards for playing the way he is capable, a good W that we all knew they were capable of...it's a good feeling and we all hope confidence is building! BTFU!
Agreed. At half time my 11 year old daughter turned to me on the couch and asked with a sad face if I just wanted to turnoff the TV. My response was "Why? Purdue is going to win!" I knew Purdue was a better team and just had a bad first half while nd played above average. Ironically during half time of the Iowa game i said the same thing when Purdue was up (but that Purdue was going to lose) because the boilers had a false hope of hitting an uncharacteristicly high rate of 3s in the first half..... .
Not all of us.......
Well congrats , maybe u should get an infomercial and sell ur wisdom to the masses, because anybody who watched that first half could expect nothing than a solid effort that would fall short following a quick second half foul from Swaigan and a bunch of unforced turnovers, but conceed in the end, the four or five of u that bully the rest of the people on this website are all knowing.... I respect two of the all knowing groupo, Dakota Girl and Mathboy, the rest are just a bunch of "I told u so's, your opinions don't matter around here"........ .

I didn't post here during the game....I watched and hoped like many....my point remains thouThank you. Bully? I just stated that not all of us felt that way. Most of you nancy's really stepped in it today....not my fault. Don't worry, I'm sure PU will lose again..........and you and your cronies' over the top comments will again flood this forum.
Thanks for proving my point TC, I didn't post during the game either, but just like YOU, I didn't expect them to win after that first half effort...glad they did, not anti Painter, just get tired of people attcking the pessimists given our recent track record, wouldn't be here if I didn't give a shit, just wish a few would stop disregarding everyone's opinion that doesn't fit their agenda!What's respectable about people who can't even hold off until the end of a game to come on here and start complaining about things? Did I think Purdue was going to come back and win at halftime? No. Did I come on here and start trashing the program when things looked a little bleak? No. That's the difference between the two groups.
