Ferentz on the hot seat?

Iowa fans have always been delusional when it comes to their athletics. They remind me of IU without the five ancient banners.
eh they are really good fans, they never give me any grief on their board, they're passionate about their team, and when they have a black and yellow game at their stadium, each section alternates each color well, no idiots wearing gray, white, or blue.

Same experience for me. I used to go to the Iowa/Purdue games at Iowa as we have family there and never had a problem with their fans once.

But then again they are our most hated rival.

I would think kind and hard about Bielema if I were the Iowa brass. My guess is that is tenure at Arkansas is far more indicative of how good a coach he is than his time at Wisconsin. Plus, he's a pompous jerk.

Say what you want about Ferentz, he's a classy guy. For whatever that's worth, and maybe it isn't much in the world of college football.

Ferentz is a good coach but he's exhibited a history of allowing these types of letdowns which drives their fan base crazy. At the same time he also has a history of winning in some big games so a lot of fans also tend to overrate their teams.

Never an issue with their fans. Fun to tailgate with and knowledgeable about football.

Will be interesting to see Iowa post-Ferentz. I can't recall another coach ever being there

The inconsistency would drive me nuts. They went 12-0 like 3 years ago, now they are back to the 7-8 win seasons. They demolish a legit top 10 o$u team, then they can't compete against us. They are in the same spot we were with Danny Hope (plus an average of 2.5 wins a year): you can keep the status quo and know that you will always go some type of bowl with a rose bowl or huge win sprnkled in, or you can try to improve but possibly end up with a Hazell situation. Fans may complain, but look at Nebraska. They gambled and lost big time. At least Kirk isn't a jackass like Bo Pelini was (is).

I doubt his seat is hot. he still has a final game and a bowl game to make his alumni happy. if Iowa goes out on a 3 game losing streak, he may start to hear the whispers. it's not like he lost to Rutgers.

Kirk Ferentz isn't going any where. Bret Bielema is an Illinois native. Last I looked, Lovie Smith still has a job.

Great first season by Jeff Brohm.
native son was a misnomer, I meant he 's an Iowa grad and would be coming home.

I like Capt. Kirk always a classy guy on the sidelines and if I was a H.S. D prospect I would even consider playing for a coach like him but I do understand their fans disapproval of their teams play, too up and down. May be a bye product of mostly 3 star recruiting.

Iowa 56
Nebraska 14

Iowa had the #4 SOS in the nation this season.

Ohio State 24
IOWA 55

Lost to 5 teams that are all bowling this season.

Like 2012, Iowa loses to Purdue on Senior Day. New OC each season.

Purdue made the right hire with Jeff Brohm and if not for Paul Chryst at 12-0, my pick for Coach of Year in the conference.
