I don't think Dra gets a ton of hate here, it was mainly his insane mother. As the title of this thread suggests, most of us feel bad for him, and are simultaneously glad that drama isn't currently with the program. It's abundantly clear at this point what the trouble was with his recruitment.First, I think Dra is either engaged or married. So she’s talking about his fiance or wife.
Second, Dra gets a lot of hate on here, but as an Illini fan I’ll say that kid was awesome to root for. He played hard and never caused any drama or bitched about his shrinking role. He always did what the coaches asked. He left because it was clear he wasn’t going to crack the rotation next season and he wants to go somewhere he can play. But you won’t hear me say anything bad about the kid. In an era where there’s a lot of spoiled babies and kids who don’t want to be coached, Dra was the opposite
He gets hate because how he and his family dealt with his recruitment post committing. He thought he could go on more visits and keep being recruited - Painter said nope - he got pissed and left.
