We had made such strides in feeding the post by mid season. What happened?

So many times Haas or Hammons has their guy pinned and our guards/wing won't toss it in. It's infuriating.

I feel like we have become almost TOO dependent on it.

If we can't feed it to AJ for one reason or another, the guys looked completely stumped and we run some garbage play/take a junk shot.

When it did get in there they was hammered about every time. We had it going in the first half. Then we faced the goon squad in the 2nd.

Early in Purdue's winning streak, Hammons was passing out of the post more. If teams are going to play like MSU and officials are going to let them, AJ is going to need to kick the ball back out more often.

i hear ya. In hindsight, I also think we might have stuck with it too much.

However, during the game, especially early in the 2nd half (when the game was still close and we had some success from the paint area in the first half), i felt frustrated because it seemed that there were multiple times when Hammons and Haas had an aggressive MSU defender successfully pinned and we just didn't throw it.

I think when Hammons and Haas are rolling, it looks great. When they can't get deep post position or convert, it leads to stale offense and a lot of standing around.
