It occurred to me that during this 4 game winning streak, each game has contained a sort of theme or extra element of motivation. Not that a Brohm coached team requires extra motivation, but it got me curious as to what a theme for each remaining game might be.

Boston College: 0-3 start, backs against the wall. Do or die.
Nebraska: Hostile road environment, Frost's "winnable game"
Illinois: Trap game, upset alert
Ohio State: Tyler Trent, ABC prime time, #2 team

Michigan St: Avoid the letdown, don't read the press clippings
Iowa: Battle for the West division lead? pork tenderloin crown??
Minnesota: ?? Could be for bowl eligibility
Wisconsin: Break the streak
Indiana: The bucket

Thoughts welcome. Feel free to have some fun with it.

Minnesota - Beating Fleck - who thought he was above us - should be motivation.

I think it is motivation for the fans but Fleck didn't come to Purdue and hang the players out to dry. The motivation of being in the race for a division title at game 8 of the season should be reason enough....when was the last time Purdue could realistically have expectations for a conference title this late in the season?

Good Point.

Michigan St: Beat the scandalous program that doesn't do the right thing.
Iowa: West Division lead and "Natural rival"
Minnesota: Better bowl & take out their bilge pump
Wisconsin: Bucky has been lucky too long. End the streak.
Indiana: The Bucket & State bragging rights. ND considers themselves Nationally and won't stoop to State level so Purdue should naturally keep the Bucket & lay claim to the State.

I think it also shows them what the extra attention to details and maintaining an even keel while also playing hard and focused can do.
You know this is what shocked me the most about this game. There was so much pregame hype about Purdue's history of upsets against OSU on the road. So, with all of that, I was shocked that about nobody on the OSU team seemed ready to play, at the beginning of the game. And this seemed to get worse in the second half. I suspect some internal issues on this OSU team, that I don't pretend to understand anything about.

Don't get me wrong, I think Purdue played a brilliant game; both offensively, and defensively. They clearly beat OSU, in every way.

Different things motivate each player , but since the first win , the team is highly motivated and it keeps building.

This team doesn't need extra motivation. Would you want to go to practice and face Brohm and Holt if you underperformed?

Somehow, some way an MSU team riddled by injury and lacking an offense, is favored in this game. Seems like a personal insult to the entire Purdue team. People are thinking OSU had their letdown game and Purdue just happened to be there when it happened. Use it!!!
