EXTEND PAINTER!!!

yes, lowered the standard for average person
"I'm thrilled for our guys," Bobinski said. "I thought Matt (Painter) and his staff have done a masterful job. We're obviously not playing with that deep a rotation, not running 12 guys out there. They've managed that exceptionally well through the course of the year. It sets the stage for us to have a great postseason, which is the next step."

It must really suck for you haters to have even our new AD pretty much disagree with you in regards to Matt Painter. He's going to be around for a very long time, so you might want to reflect on whether you want to come back to being a Purdue fan or simply go find another school to root for.

This would of been a prime opportunity for you to swallow your courage and eat some well deserved crow, but you instead continue to make a mockery of yourself on here with posts like these and similar ones you have made on here. Too bad really, while the rest of us are enjoying the championship, you wallow in your own blind and unfounded hatred for someone you probably have never even met.

I will give credit to Coaches for what they have done this year SO FAR, but this season isn't over yet, so we may lose in the 1st round again...?! Who knows.

People has been saying not to evaluating based on 1 season. So, steel, tell me what we have achieved in last 11 years?

This thread is stupid to begin with.. and I could not help to respond, that's on me.

Just another day in the office. Painter could run for Govenor but I hope he sticks around. He is a really great coach and is gaining more wisdom each year.

We've come a society that likes to bitch about what other people don't give us or do for us. Our society is entirely about holding others to a standard that most people don't even begin to resemble themselves. This board is a great reflection.

It's clear what your desired outcome is... these are the "fans" Kess was speaking to. No one else need be offended.

Unfortunately, when you are a coach of a big program this is what you deal with. Biggie practices after games because he wants to be great and holds himself accountable. Big programs or jobs have high expectations because they feel the product should be great or above avg. I feel it is a right for some to feel the same for Purdue Basketball. Sorry if you don't feel the same.

I feel the product is good. Sorry you don't.

Well it's a good thing that the product is great and above average. Just because a handful of you don't think so, doesn't mean it isn't. In fact, other than a couple blips, the history under Painter pretty much proves that fact.

It really is unfortunate that you small few can't enjoy the success of this season. There are some of you that I firmly believe are pulling for Purdue to lose just so you can hop on here and post about how hypothetically 'right' you were. Much like what kessel did in this thread only probably with more derogatory terms for our coach.

The program is headed in the right direction, it's too bad you can't see it and I am sure that if we don't make a deep run this year, you and the few like you will be sure to make posts telling us all about it. But see here is the rub, it doesn't matter because Painter isn't going anywhere any time soon and based off of the comments from our new AD, is likely to be here for a very , very long time. Why not get behind the team and show some support for a change? You'll enjoy things a lot more.

Exactly. If someone needs to have the things Painter has done explained to them, then they are just blinded by their hatred for him and their agenda is clear. As you said those are the type of fans that I think Kessel was speaking to and are also the ones hoping we lose.

Lol..good twist! My point is if you would've ever played a sport. My coach expected me to run the play correctly every time or I would possibly get benched. This is why people practice the same play over and over. This is why coaches review film to perfect their coaching ability. People expect greatness and I would hope you would expect the same out of yourself. You can't have a mediocre mentality and want greatness. But you seem to not mind being "good".

I would bet that CMP runs his practice to become great and not just "good". He is held to a higher standard just like his players and he has to prove it as well. The Media even brings it up about the lack of tourney success the last 5 years. Did you expect to lose to Cincinnati the way we lost? ALR? That the reason why many in the majority feel this way. I want CMP to enjoy success because that means Purdue has achieved the same. I think we some what agree to disagree.

Hahaha. I love the mediocre fan demanding "greatness" from his team that is already at least very good.
