E'twuan Moore!

Moor was the Bulls mvp tonight even if the stats don't show it. Him and niko. Thibs had him in the whole 4th and E'twuan rewarded him with the clutch game winner

He got the Sager interview post game. Big stage for a big game!

This takes some of the sting off of last night.

Hilarious watching him trying to keep his cool with sager when he knows he wants to go jump around like a school girl

That made my week. I love me some Smooge, and I love that Robbie's in the league now and playing well. :)

Also love this from the recap:

E'Twaun Moore in half-court setting. Moore guarded Westbrook on 10 of his 12 fourth-quarter plays. Westbrook committed four of his five turnovers against Moore, including his final one on the Thunder's last possession.

Westbrook is on an absolute tear (scored 42 points in that game) and Moore apparently kept him at bay (I didn't see the game just repeating what was in the recap).

Man, just saw this myself. That's a crazy stat line:

19 pts (on just 10 FGAs!), 4 REBs, 2 STLs, 1 BKs, 0 TOs, and all that in just 22 minutes. I'm not sure you can do much better than that.

Good for him. Dude was always cool under pressure, glad to see him get a chance to show it on an even bigger stage.

for those that couldn't see the game, I found this Etwuan-centric highlight video from this specific game.

Just like his boiler days, he makes that mid-range shot seem like a layup. It's so easy for him.

Kevin Harlan seems to love to call his name throughout. Steve Smith is the announcer that is "hooting" like a teenage girl after the game winner.

Etwuan Game Highlights

Great article on Bleacher report...

CHICAGO — It happened in 2.8 seconds. What at first looked like another routinely dominant night from Russell Westbrook became a thrilling come-from-behind victory for the Chicago Bulls on the back of a player who has been little more than an afterthought this season.

With 4.9 seconds remaining in regulation and the Oklahoma City Thunder leading the Bulls 105-104, Mike Dunleavy inbounded the ball to Pau Gasol in the post. Gasol immediately kicked it out to E’Twaun Moore in the left corner, who calmly drained a three-pointer to put Chicago up two.

“The play was designed for me to catch and shoot, so I was trying to get good position,†Gasol said after the game. “I read that Westbrook came and over-helped, and I saw E’Twaun wide open. It was quick instincts.â€

“He just read the play and knocked down the shot,†added Moore, who finished with a career-high 19 points on 9-of-10 shooting. “It was a smart play and he trusted me to knock down the shot.â€

It was a fitting end, and a fitting hero for a team that has time and again found ways to win short-handed through collective effort, even with much of its star power sidelined.

Westbrook was typically spectacular; any other night, his 43 points, eight rebounds and seven assists would have been the story. His night-to-night brilliance has become as matter-of-fact as LeBron James’ was in 2012 and 2013. He’s a force of nature who puts up near triple-double numbers so routinely that it’s hard to even blink at it anymore.

Except on Thursday night, a role player stole the show. Even aside from the big shot, Moore’s defensive performance on Westbrook in the fourth quarter was the most important factor in keeping the Bulls close. Moore has been averaging just 7.3 minutes per game for the Bulls this season, mostly as a fill-in when Chicago’s other guards are injured.

In other words, times like right now. The Bulls are in the process of navigating their toughest stretch of schedule, and doing so without Derrick Rose and Jimmy Butler. Tom Thibodeau’s mantra since the beginning has been “stay ready.†The players on the fringes of the rotation have seen their minutes fluctuate, and the challenge has been to stay in a position to capitalize on whatever opportunities are there.

In recent days, those opportunities have come for Tony Snell and Nikola Mirotic. They may still come for Doug McDermott. But on Thursday, it came for Moore, on the biggest stage, against the most fearsome one-on-one matchup in the league, and he owned the moment completely.

The next month is going to be the a telling one for the Bulls. They’ll have to win a lot of games the way they won this one—short-handed, with help coming from all up and down the roster. They’re going to need more games like this from Moore, from Snell and from Mirotic.

They’ve been in this situation before, many times. And all a game like Thursday is going to do is get players like Moore, the secondary players, more comfortable in the moments when they are called upon to become first options.

“This team just keeps on fighting, keeps on going,†Gasol said. “No matter the score, we just play hard. Sometimes we get down on the scoreboard but we’re a resilient team and we want to win every night. So far we’ve been doing a good job.â€

In their current incarnation, the Bulls don’t have a transcendent talent like Westbrook, someone capable of singlehandedly carrying his team even as the reigning MVP sits. It’s going to be an all-hands-on-deck affair. Chicago will have to claw for every win it can get, but it's as equipped as anybody.

The Bulls will need more shots like that last-second prayer from Moore, which he still can’t believe went down.

“I had my eyes on it the whole time,†Moore said. “I knew there were two seconds left, so I was thinking, ‘Please, please go in.’â€

It did, and it gave the Bulls a morale-boosting win and Moore a career-defining moment.

Although he finished with 43 points, Westbrook struggled against E'Twaun Moore in the half court. He scored six points on 2-of-12 shooting and turned the ball over four times when guarded by Moore. Westbrook had 20 points and made 54 percent of his shots when guarded by the rest of the team.

Moore with classic Purdue defense right there. On a MVP candidate nonetheless. Also with outstanding offense in the fourth quarter and clutch three for the win.

Love the Bulls and E'Twaun so it was a double win for me!
