A bit OT, but I was shocked to see him rated that high... as desperate as we are for any true game changing talent, it would have been nice if we were able to hold on to him

Although if we are playing the what-if game, I guess it would have been nice if he actually qualified our of HS - 4 yrs vs. 2


All that said, good for him, a top 5 pick is a huge accomplishment, hopefully 4 his sake McShay is not too far off.

Today's edition has an article on Gregory. He was committed to Purdue but got "senioritis" and was not able to qualify. Purdue gave him the option of going out to AZ Western Comm College or Iowa Western CC. He chose AZ W CC. Says he liked the coach at Purdue when he committed, Danny Hope. Also he really looked up to Ryan Kerrigan and one of the main reasons he wanted to go to Purdue. Decided after his second Juco season to take his visits. Went out to NE and was having the time of his life ?? and then looked at the Purdue score and PU is playing MN and MN blows them out. A month later they fire Coach Hope and I just decided to de-commit and commit to NE.

yeah, that was like the perfect storm of events against us in that situation, that Minny game was horrible to watch and they had that Nelson kid at QB who is now in jail for that assault he was a part of.
