We get him first. Is that good or bad? I'd love to show him a Team USA medal, a team that enjoys playing and winning together, and lock him up early.

Expect Izzo to tearfully tell Eric that he has named his dog after him, or that maybe Izzo's mother has the same first name as Eric. You know, some sort of real emotional grabber to get him to commit.gold medal + teary eyed visit = instant commit, right?!

Looks like we are getting a visit from Colin too. Not sure how to feel about a final 8 and an official, which is only for 5. I'd say good for us, as a visit always seems good.
Now this is a kid that based upon his physical attributes I would love to have at Purdue as a guard. I have really been impressed with the limited viewings I've seen of him. I have no reason to stipulate the physical side, but that is all I know about him. It would require some thought to find a guard I wanted more at Purdue. He seems to be as good as many before him...We get him first. Is that good or bad? I'd love to show him a Team USA medal, a team that enjoys playing and winning together, and lock him up early.
This is a combo guard like I suspect Purdue is trying to move towards. He appears to have a scoring upside pretty highIt's interesting that they call him a PG. Hopefully he knows he will be coming in as the 3rd string... (sarcasm)
on Hunter it appears that his exposure to Holtsman and Butler remained with Butler as a team and Holtsman at OSU.That is an interesting and somewhat diverse list, IMO.....four conference schools as well. We shall see.
If Purdue ..and that is an IF..could land Eric and Colin they would be good for some timeLooks like we are getting a visit from Colin too. Not sure how to feel about a final 8 and an official, which is only for 5. I'd say good for us, as a visit always seems good.
Only on this forum, which is far from reality.Him committing could change a lot with how this class is perceived.
Doesn't that still piss you off to no end?!! Makes me puke every time I think about JJJ.gold medal + teary eyed visit = instant commit, right?!

Oh I hope you are right!Brian Snow supposedly is predicting Hunter as a Boiler. Hunter + Williams would be an awesome foundation for a class.

I am not discounting that and I agree, landing him would be huge. Not landing him won't be the end of the world though either.eh, I get your point, but getting Hunter would mean getting two top 100/95 players, one being a skilled big in Trevion, and the other being a good guard like Hunter. Getting a guard like Hunter would be big.
Knight used to laugh when people would ask about his point guard positionCombo guards make the most sense in a motion offense. The only thing the point guard really does, is get the ball up the court, but with the motion anyone can initiate the offense and it works best when everyone is a threat to score so the defense can't relax on a player. But with the motion, everyone has to be able to pass and at least be some what of a threat to keep defenses honest. Basketball has been moving to position designators being meaningless for awhile now, and the motion offense it's almost always been that way.

Agree. Look at PJ, no high major really wanted him. He seems to be doing just fine. In fact, I'm sure a few schools who passed are kicking themselves. He just plays his role and wins, and that is a great quality in a PG.
and from behind the half court line. And he is good enough from behind the arc that you have to account for him.
Twice I'm thinking and that is without replaying themand from behind the half court line.

I "hope" you are wrong...like the kid a lotIf Florida offers, at it sounds like they will, Castleton is as good as gone.

yes, in some of the video I saw he got into zone and stayed there a bit!But can he play zone?
Sorry ... Couldn't resist![]()

Huge blow to the program if we don't sign him . It has been widely known he is Painters top choice for 2018 . Which may have swayed others to commit elsewhere . Great kid from a great family . Two dog race IMO and the other dog has a new trainer who has never won . I expect him to stay close to home just not too close .This kid has no quit in him he is a true leader and clearly makes his teammates better .Team Harris his AAU team battled every time out and beat several other teams with more depth .
I think folks are underestimating Xavier's pull on Hunter and they have an offer out to Henry. Xavier also made Henry's top 5. For some reason unbeknownst to the masses, Painter has not offered Henry. There are many rumors that Hunter wants to play with Henry.
But can he play zone?

Appears one of the crystal ball guys just picked Purdue last night
