I’ve long been a critic of Eifert getting frontcourt minutes ahead of Taylor (and/or Ewing), but he deserves applause for his four rebounds at Michigan -- a game where every play mattered -- against a team that was bigger at most positions. I still have my preferences and reasons, but without the bench’s Double-E’s major boardwork up there, we lose.

I really like guys like him because that's me. In a pickup game with average players, I'm usually the worst from a skill standpoint. The only way I can contribute is to out work and out hustle them. So I'm the guy diving on the floor because that is where I can be most helpful.

Now Grady is a really good player overall. He wouldn't be on a Purdue basketball team if he wasnt. But relative to the skills of his opponents, he is similar to me compared to average players.

We can afford to play him cause we have so many threats offensively. Eifert provided some good rebounds in a game where we didn't do great on the boards.

Does anyone know if Grady played football at Bishop Dwenger ?

Just curious and wonder if he might be capable of playing TE for Coach Brohm after next year? A 6'6" 250lbs fluid athlete with soft hands might be kind of attractive if he is interested in pursuit of a masters degree once BBall eligibility is exhausted.................
