Very important as the NCAA allows an early signing period this year, I believe. Sneak in an upset and some exciting brand of football this fall and who knows what this class will be …Boiler Up!

I agree 100%, this is going to be a real game-changer. With the previous system, a school like Tennessee would get commits from 35 kids and on signing day ten of them would get screwed: no scholie and no Plan B. So they'd show up at Tennessee six months later as greyshirts because they had no other viable option.

With the new system, kids who don't get a scholie to sign on Dec 20 will know they are getting shafted and will have other options available.

When is the last time we had 5 players onboard already for the following year? That has to go back to the Tiller days. Just a hunch.

I'm sure we could sign another 20 tomorrow if numbers alone were the objective. Heck, we could get 'em all from one high school.
My point is we haven't had verbal commits to Purdue in this quantity in a long...long time. It appears to me that recruiting is a full court press and we're having success in getting players Brohm wants and from Regions he wants them. Chicago, Indy, Cincy, Louisville. In fishing terms, those have been nearly been dry Lake beds for awhile, and of current players we have on the roster from those areas, we may have been one of few offers. Markell Jones would be an exception, yet he was from Columbus, IN
