Loss at Minny. Way to go gophers.
Tough game to watch down the stretch of regulation with all the official reviews. Damn it's getting bad.
Nice result though. Turned it on with Michigan up 10, like 51-41 or something, and the next time I looked up it was tied. There's not a lot of talent on that team but they hit big shots and just hung tough.
Still don’t know why in OT against the pressure on inbounds and the guy starting to go out bounds with the ball why he didn’t throw the ball towards half court or towards their basket instead of throwing it towards the Michigan basket. Went out of bounds instead of Michigan catching it around their basket.Loss at Minny. Way to go gophers.
Probably should have either called timeout or chucked it at the Michigan defender's knee when he got caught in the corner (after a push).Still don’t know why in OT against the pressure on inbounds and the guy starting to go out bounds with the ball why he didn’t throw the ball towards half court or towards their basket instead of throwing it towards the Michigan basket. Minny was fortunate to get the W, but they played hard and had 3 scorers in the guards and Garcia whereas Michigan had two bigs
For the same reason last week the Minnesota defender fouled an Ohio state ball handler when Minnesota was up only 2 and he thought they were up 3.Still don’t know why in OT against the pressure on inbounds and the guy starting to go out bounds with the ball why he didn’t throw the ball towards half court or towards their basket instead of throwing it towards the Michigan basket. Doesn’t help that every player yells/acts like they’ve been beaten with a baseball bat whenever they get touched *cough* Goldin *cough* and they have to go review to see if there’s anything malicious that occurred.Tough game to watch down the stretch of regulation with all the official reviews. Oh man that feels a lot like Rutgers felt
I was making fun of the number, not the fact that they did it.those stupid students... sigh..
They only reviewed it for a flagrant 1, but apparently tackling a guy doesn't meet the criteria. What's worse, is the announcers agreed with the no call. How was the play by Jones against Garcia not any kind of foul? He basically tackled him.
yes, he was pushed. I don't believe there was a TO left, but could be wrong. I also at the time thought about the knee (or lower) and questioned if a good angle was there. No matter what the rule of thumb is to NOT save or throw a ball under the other team's basket unless you know exactly where it is going. He threw it behind the bankboard, which made no sense either and you know he wasn't trying to throw it out of bounds.Probably should have either called timeout or chucked it at the Michigan defender's knee when he got caught in the corner (after a push).
yeah...you have to know time and score all the timeFor the same reason last week the Minnesota defender fouled an Ohio state ball handler when Minnesota was up only 2 and he thought they were up 3.
Yeah, I score that court storm a 3/10. Very cool ending, though, as long as we're not on the losing end of it.All 65 kids in the student section rushed the court.
I watched parts of this until Minny was down 10 and stopped checking in. My takeaway, even when they were down, was that the Gophers were playing their asses off. Nice to see Ben Johnson pull this out.Tough game to watch down the stretch of regulation with all the official reviews. Damn it's getting bad.

Ben seems rather calm, but his asst which was Ben's high school coach was very intense in the huddle the game before talking about bringing the physicality.I watched parts of this until Minny was down 10 and stopped checking in.
