That's borderline...you might be on the hook.
Well put up the house when they play at Marquette then! They said that UConn hasn't beaten a ranked team on the road since 2014.
Lot of older players on the court this yearThis year’s tourney may be the craziest ever - I know we always say that but it really feels that way.
Going forward, NIL and the portal may not mean as much as a team of "elders" that have played together for a few years. Maybe not in football, but I think it will be apparent in BB.Lot of older players on the court this year
I think a single player that blends well and brings what is needed can make a huge difference in basketball, but experience teams don't have the ups and downs as much inexperienced teams many timesGoing forward, NIL and the portal may not mean as much as a team of "elders" that have played together for a few years. Blasphemer.I'm just wondering where all the ledge jumpers are at today. Good teams, even great teams, lose every now and then.
great job this year by McDermott after losing Nembhard and Kalumba. I would take that Trey Alexander kid on my team any day of the week. Dynamic 6'4 GuardIt was nice to see UCONN look mortal. Even nicer to see Cam Spencer have a bad game in a loss.
I don't think anyone was beating Creighton last night though, tip of a hat to them as they shot lights out and seized the moment.
Yeah to ranked teams on the road, not to Jake the snake Diebler.I'm just wondering where all the ledge jumpers are at today. Good teams, even great teams, lose every now and then.
Sure, but here's the thing. They got destroyed. We were in a 1-possession game all the way down the stretch. Of course Creighton is a very good team, not arguing that. But Ohio State is quite talented themselves even if they don't have the wins to show it. But that being said, they are actually 15-11.Yeah to ranked teams on the road, not to Jake the snake Diebler.
I get the point you're trying to make (it's tough on the road) And I agree with that. But not all losses on the road are the same. OSU is nowhere close to Creighton. It's better to just leave it at it's tough on the road. As soon as you try to compare the teams, it loses it's effectiveness. It's actually my biggest gripe with the NET Quads that are set up. Losing to the #1 or losing to the #75 team is counted as the same thing (on the road). It's too much range to be counted as the same thing. Just one guys opinion!Sure, but here's the thing. No doubt and that all makes sense. Just making the point that our loss isn't as bad as we might think. Creighton - #9 in the NET and likely 4-5 seed
OSU - #65 NET - Needs miracle to even make the dance
I agree, I don't want them in our region either! I like the way they play also. Lots of movement and good shooters. Kalkbrenner and Edey are different players but I like how stoic they both are most of the time. They just keep playing. In defense of Uconn, I don't think anyone was walking out of there last night with a W. Creighton was hitting on all cylinders last night. No doubt and that all makes sense. Just making the point that our loss isn't as bad as we might think. Even if you're not truly comparing the two.
On another note, I certainly don't want Creighton to be the 4 or 5 in our region but obviously a 33% chance of that if things hold. I did find in watching that game last night that at least offensively, both teams operate similarly to Purdue. They seemed to be running very similar sets.
It was a bad loss to a mediocre team. Purdue hit all of its free throws and still lost. That cemented it to me that it was a bad loss.No doubt and that all makes sense. Just making the point that our loss isn't as bad as we might think. Even if you're not truly comparing the two.

They lost to a top 15 team who was shooting lights out from 3. We lost to Ohio State who played terrible. Big difference.I'm just wondering where all the ledge jumpers are at today. Good teams, even great teams, lose every now and then.

Darn it Purdue. All you had to do was win at OSU and the world would have been yours!
