Believe she has been under the radar. She is backcourt teammate of Miracle Gray, who has already verballed to Purdue. We have a really good pipeline into Georgia, and can sometimes check out/get a line on players before the rating services get hold of them. I believe this is because of Coach Morgan.
Will this be the first recruiting class that is not ranked at least in the top 25 in the country by at least one recruiting site? Doesn't appear that after garnering a top 10 class in 2015 that this one be ranked very high.
It is quite possible that if she is really good and playing well now that the rating services will move her up in their rankings.
Also, in both men and woman rankings, after about the first 10 players there is very little difference between thew next 100 players or so. It basically is a crap shoot as to how these players will turn out at the college level.
I suspect she will move up as her high school career goes forward. Also, I think that it is a really, really good thing to have two players who have been backcourt teammates in AAU for a number of years. That kind of experience together can be very good news for their college team. How many times does that happen--that the backcourt duo on a good AAU team both choose the same university? I'm looking for good things from that class!
In the last nine years we have recruited more quality talent from the University of Maryland than any geographic location anyone can cite including Chicago, Indianapolis, Ohio, Detroit, Kentucky, Illinois and yes, Indiana.
