Does anybody know anything about TKR injury

He was back on the bench and drinking from his water bottle and no noticeable taping or anything. Hopefully he will be good soon.
Purdue needs a healthy Trey. He provides a different look than many teams with. Big 5 that play 4 out. He can make war in the paint and then you have Mason for a different look…and then Caleb for different strengths

NP, I would like to see Heide play some 4 too. It will be a great learning experience for him. As there are times, he will have to toughen up his game, and a few minutes at the 4 will provide that.

Heide not big enough to handle most 4s. He is doing well @ the 3.

Moreover, we have 3 guys with different tools @ the 4. He does not do anything better when compared individually to each 4's individually attributes.....

Simplified Attributes.......
Aggression & scoring inside= TKR
Rebounding= Furst
Someone to scrap, screen & hit the 3 = Gillis
Heide not better at any of the above when you think about what each 4 is used for by CMP.

Our Achilles heel in past tournaments has been opponents with athletic players buzzing around our big men while their big men try to muscle ours. In this scenario, we have a fantastic PF in Mason. However, I would also like to turn to Heide.

It might not be a bad thing if it leads to Caleb getting more minutes and finding his groove. One of many reasons I don't think this team has hit it's ceiling yet is Caleb hasn't come close to his potential....and to his defense playing 5-10 mins a game doesn't help.
I really like Caleb, but if he could finish stronger near the rim - it sure would help. So many times, I think he is about to score and for one reason or another it doesn't go in. I do think more minutes should help. Any update on Trey yet? I guess we will hear something at the next Matt Painter show.

Caleb needs more weight. About 15 lbs. for his height I guess would be about right!

His value would be much more important if he developed his skill. An ability to shoot on the perimeter and put the ball on the court would vastly improve his game and weight on him "could" be a detriment. Course if he is just going to score inside with a jump hook, then weight might help. Hopefully he works on his skill before next season. Kid is athletic, runs the court very well and provides length and some quickness with it. Would like to see him not be in the lane 100% of the time next year, but to be a threat you have to be able to shoot the ball. Just be a threat out to 15 and he will be vastly improved individually. What easier thing to improve than shooting?

Apparently, TKR is expected to play tomorrow:

“Forward Trey Kaufman-Renn, who violently and awkwardly came down on his left leg at Iowa, rolling his ankle, is fine and expected to play Tuesday night against Michigan, according to assistant coach Paul Lusk, who stood in for Matt Painter for Monday’s media availability.

“He’s great,” Lusk said. “We were very fortunate. It was an awkward landing, but he’ll be good to go.””

Glad to hear he’s ok!!!!

But Caleb did make some perimeter shots early in his career as did Morton. Morton helped win the Wisconsin game ( away) last year with a late three. Both lost confidence in their shots. This has happened to a few other Purdue players. The others tended to lose the rest of their game as well. Furst and Morton still contribute on defense, rebounding etc. Losing confidence is a killer on shooting though and apparently tough to turn around to even get back to mediocre.

I can't disagree with anything you said, but Caleb is lacking in skill. His game facing the basket is limited. His mechanics IMO do not look good shooting. "Confidence" comes from success and I know that success in practice isn't quite the same as in a game, but if he was stroking it and able to drive the ball in practice we would see more attempts of each. Believe me I would love for Caleb to improve his skill not just for him , but the team because he does bring other valuable things to the table. I don't think Caleb was a "shooter" as a freshman even though he shot well. Myles has not shot well lately, but I can watch him and see that he can be a shooter. Trey has shot the 3 ball well this year, but Trey is not a shooter either.
