Disappointed in this game but still support Painter, program.

I support the program, I support the players and the other "behind-the-scenes" guys, but I'd rather have three new coaches in place of Painter, Owens, and Gary. I would keep Brantley but would not want him to be appointed the coach-in-waiting or anything like that. They still had a winning record and made the NCAA Tournament, so the traditional logic of an AD is to keep the HC and his staff.

No ones OK with this outcome. But firing Painter is not the answer. I predict we are significantly better the next two years at least.
Yep. But then again the negative nancy bitches can't see the future and that things are trending up even with this loss.

I am very disappointed. I am far away from the fire Painter bandwagon. In 2 years with a great point guard if we don't do crap in the tourney next year or in 2017 then I may be on that bandwagon. It is what it is. I think it's clear to Painter that we absolutely need at least a good PG that can handle the ball and make his own shots.

I have been very supportive of CMP. My patience is being tested! For God's sake, you can see the team has lost all momentum why in the hell do you let them shoot the 3 in regulation??? Foul, Foul, Foul.

There isn't enough Jack in the house tonight!!!

Do you really think he's going to become a better head coach in the next two years? He might get some good recruits, but he's not going to improve as an in-game coach after being a head coach for this long.

We absolutely choked. For a game we should have dominated we look absolutely terrible. We look like we learned nothing from the entire season. I'm not sure how any true fan would not be disappointed. In fact, I'm so disappointed in All of Purdue sports. I will be canceling my subscription to rivals tomorrow and I will not donate or pay a single sent to anything regarding Purdue until we do something significant in the athletic department which is what matters most to most grads. Additionally, I would have no problem changing my degree to another school if possible.IU seems like a good chose... I'm over it. Enough is enough.

11 years of this was about 4 years to long. 1 B1G title and 1 B1GT and never past the S16. His teams never play with any killer instinct. They play very passive like his coaching style.
Like you are really even a Boiler. I outed you long ago and proved you weren't one.

If you are considering having anything to do with IU than you are not a true Boiler. I am pissed in the outcome tonight and the horrible football season we have. However I still fully support Purdue and always will.

What was Vince Edwards doing with 5 seconds left in a tied game?

Was he running out the clock? How did he not know the situation?

STFU with your clueless posts. Good god you pussies need to go root for someone else.

Pussies? Hardly. Would Alabma have all these titles in football for example if they didn't expect and demand excellence? We are settlers like the Xfinity commercial. We settle. If you deny that than you're dumber than most. Facts are fact. Bernie voter?

Are you on something? We lose AJ. Another delusional fan. Probably a Cubs fan, too.
This just in: Isaac Haas is pretty good. And we get to take Davis out of the starting lineup. We'll be very different, but I think we'll be better. You don't agree? I'm OK with that and I don't have to act like an asshat just because someone disagrees with me. Ball's in your court.

Whose going to coach the end of the game when we're up 13 with 3 min. to go?

Hey, that's a valid point. The only thing I can say there is that I hope the guys who have now been through it twice in the tournament and a few times in the regular season will learn from it so their coach doesn't have to fix it.

Really??? That's what we get for 2.3 million
That's the going rate for coaches at high major schools. All season long Purdue was a top 15-20 team, and Painter blew it tonight. That doesn't make him the Worst Coach Ever. It does mean he needs to do a lot better if he wants to keep his job, but firing him now would be a mistake. JMO.

Are you aware that most of the conference season, the only reason they maintained their rank is because of how many teams were losing around them in the rankings at the same time? Mirage?

PU needs impactful guards. Painter recruits wings ... not true guards. It's been his Achilles heel throughout his career. PU was one solid PG from being a legit NC contender this year. Obviously showed today.

Well then, hopefully Carsen Edwards is that guy then. I sure as hell hope so. Haven't had an elite ball handler and shooter since probably E'twaun.

This loss hurts down deep into the bowels and crevasses of my deepest basketball passion. I hope and pray that we can rebuild the program because it is at an all time low.

Agree for the most part. Purdue won't be as good defensively, but with a good PG coming in, and some of the wings showing improvement this season and improving into next season, we should be a team that can be more versatile offensively.
