Assume based on?
They went to the same high school and Foles broke most of his high school records.
....just assuming he knew him since Foles was a high major recruit. Obviously they know each other now as Brees spoke with him and gave him advice for super bowl preparation.None of that means they knew each other
I believe they got to know each other before that one game where they faced each other either last year or the year before where the announcers were saying this is the first time opposing qb's are from the same H.S.....just assuming he knew him since Foles was a high major recruit. Obviously they know each other now as Brees spoke with him and gave him advice for super bowl preparation.
Foles, who has had a good career in the NFL, wouldn't have fit what Purdue wanted in a QB.
He was a pocket passer who fit a pro style/vertical offense better than Purdue (who added dual threat Justin Siller that same year)
Book the Meat Market covers his recruitment a bit
Tiller didnt know what he wanted at that point. Siller never made sense to me.
Panfil was a legacy too.I agree. Explains taking Panfil at QB the year before
Didn't know that.
Panfil was a really good H.S. qb out of Texas, had no problem w/ his offer.I agree. Explains taking Panfil at QB the year before

Top 20 dual threats. They differentiate between the 2.Agreed. I think Rivals even had him in their Top 20...
don't forget he started his career up at msu.Foles, who has had a good career in the NFL, wouldn't have fit what Purdue wanted in a QB.
