In the TAMU thread, you mentioned "if he can't sell it to the Greater Lafayette community". This has long been one of my biggest complaints and questions. Why doesn't Lafayette embrace Purdue? Is there something in the past that caused a "divide" between the two? Most college towns go all out for "their" team. Driving into the area on gamedays, you are inundated with "GO whoever" signs, school colors hanging from every business, etc. When driving into Lafayette, you would be hard pressed to know there is a college in the vicinity. Is it a Lafayette/West Lafayette feud?
