It seems like everybody gives us their best shot.

It definitely makes us better but when we don’t have our best we lose!

rather than everybody giving us their best shot, perhaps it's because of our terrible perimeter defense and the height mismatches that allow other players to basically have uncontested shots.

No. Osobor is an awful 3pt shooter and queen isn’t quite there yet. Paint plays the analytics game, but also is a smart coach and let those guys shoot it out there. Cox was literally running away from Osobor at the 3pt line. WE WANTED him to take that and I 100% guarantee we’d let him and Queen shoot em again. As it takes away from their strength. Cmon Wule.

I’ve seen it too many times. We dare teams to beat us with their 3 point shooting. We play the percentages. And what happens? We get burned! If we’re going to play man to man defense, than we need to play aggressive defense rather than letting bad shooters take open, undefended shots. We need to do more than just putting our hands up.

This is not one game or against one player or just this year. We have always played a soft perimeter defense hoping the other team misses their shots. And when a team gets hot, our defense doesn’t make adjustments to change the way we defend the perimeter. The philosophy is well he’ll eventually cool off. That philosophy needs to change.

That’s crazy you say that. Purdue allows teams to shoot 30% from 3. Makes them ranked 42nd in the country and 3rd in the B1G.
