Has anyone read any good articles on how this would work? I haven't seen it. Or want to theorize on how it might happen?

Clearly 62% poll to deport so support is out there even though I am in the 38%

Wonder if Trump will be more selective in mass deportation now that Latinos are trending voting up for the Rs??

One thing I’m interested is what happens to the ACA? I got friends and family that voted for Trump on it and like it, does he try to improve it or just opt out of it without a plan like he wanted to before? My friends think he won’t mess with it, I’m not so sure about that.

Have no idea on that. He has a concept of a plan you know ...lol.

I don't think changing ACA polls as well as the deportation. Unless you ask specifically on health care costs which all think are too high.

I think he starts deporting those known criminals here illegally and picks the low hanging fruit early. He was publicly against the illegals. If we assume that "legals" voted for him (although we know this wasn't 100%) knowing he was wanting to deport illegals, then it seems to follow that the "legals" are also against the illegals as they too compete for jobs and ...

The ACA threw me since in my mind it has been the UCA (unaffordable care act) ;)

From what he's said, he will use local law enforcement to detain I think. If illegals were smart, now is your time to leave or to go flood California and New York.
Go find those 'sanctuary' cities where they're supposedly met with opened arms. They're all run by Dems so let them deal with the problem.
Otherwise, better pack your bags.....

Numbers like that are meaningless unless you know how many illegals they let in. Biden has deported more than Trump but Biden let in three times more, thus the country has a far greater net gain in illegals under Biden.

Do you think illegals should be able to stay in our country?
No. Why are you asking? I've said this before. And trump still can't order local or state officials to do his dirty work.

However some of the people that are going to get deported have been here a long time. They work jobs many of us wouldn't, pay taxes, stay out of trouble. Deporting all of them rather than finding ways to let some become legal is economically brain dead and goes against the very fabric of what this country is about.

Make new law so we don't do 180s every time the party in the WH changes. Why is that wrong? SOLVE THE PROBLEM.

I'm in favor of deporting every illegal with a criminal record, no questions asked.
If not working and living off of welfare and govt subsidies, sorry, you gotta go also.

For those who are working, paying, taxes, etc, that's a tougher situation because they did break our laws to be here. I would say they have to immediately start the citizenship process, IF they qualify, and no short cuts. Also, maybe they have to pay an additional tax or something related to them being illegals to reimburse for the services they used as non-citizens. .

Illegals need to flock to Massachusetts. Sanctuary State A*N*D Right-To-Shelter - guaranteed housing! And the goofball female governor has already declared that state police and other state officials will not assist federal authorities in deporting illegals. Governor Abbott, Mass is Target One for them buses.

Sorry. I haven't seen anything from trump saying he's making distinctions among illegals. The promise is they all have to go.

Of course you will.

It will come as a surprise to some Hispanics and other trump voters when it's not just murderers and rapists that get deported.
Are you talking about the illegal ones your company employs?

The company I work for doesn't employ illegal or undocumented workers.

Because trump constantly and consistently labeled illegals as criminals of all sorts, never pointing out that most are not, some in the electorate believe most are. It's going to come as a shock to many when grandma gets deported.

The courts are going to be busy the next 4 years, probably starting with his effort to end birthright citizenship. The constitution has something to say about it.

All illegals are criminals. Entering the US without a visa is a crime, thus they are criminals. Trump is right, you are wrong.
Yes, but they're not all rapists and murderers and gang members and drug dealers........as he has portrayed them to be over and over. That's what I'm saying and you know it but don't want to address it.

I already addressed it. They don't need to be murderers and drug dealers to be deported. All illegals are criminals and should be deported. Git shed of them.

If they’re here illegally, then they broke our laws. There’s consequences. Come in legally and it’s a different discussion.

Some are, not all. He never said “all”. Quit being so dramatic.
Of course he didn't. Point to all the times he clarified that when speaking about illegals. I know of one time, like 7 years ago. Otherwise every single time he just refers to them as rapists and murderers etc.

You clearly don’t have the ability to see nuance in speech.
But either way, if you came here illegally, you broke the law. By definition, you’re a criminal. Pack your bags.

Doubtful, I know the several I know and talk to where all big Trump supporters because of this. They worked hard and came here legally and feel everyone else should too.

B, what part of the word "ILLEGAL" don't you understand. If you are here by breaking our laws to get here, you gotta' go back to the shit hole country you came from and apply. In case you're one of them, here's the steps:

To become a legal US citizen, you need to take the following steps123:
  1. Determine your eligibility.
  2. Apply for naturalization.
  3. Complete the biometrics screening.
  4. Complete the interview.
  5. Take the civics and English tests.
  6. Take the oath.
  7. BINGO...come get a job.

He does use the words murderers and rapists AND gang members, but he also states that if they are returned home, they have the right to apply the RIGHT way. We're a country of laws, always have been and when we become something else, our freedoms and rights disappear.

Trump will do exactly what needs to be done. Contrary to your yammering, and BNI's rhetoric about him being a boogie man, he's going to make this country much more secure and much safer.

To deport 20M in one year not realistic. That is nearly 55,000/day for 365 days.

Doing it in 4 years not realistic either. That's still 13,700 per day, every day for 4 years.

Be lucky to deport a million/yr.....you see that alone is ~ 2740 per day, every day for 365.

So I wish Tom Homan & folks success. Don't see it happening though. If he can stem the current flow to zero, and shut down the fentanyl, that's success enough. But 20 M that's some work.

I feel like you have never traveled to a foreign country. Can you name another country you can enter illegally and live in comfort without fear of deportation? I mean, you have blue States giving them drivers license. Tell ya what go Mexico or Canada and see if you bring back a DL. You have normalized an illegal action.

The 14th amendment was passed to ensure citizenship to former slaves and has been bastardized. Even the court case which created precedent over 100 years ago did not envision birth tourism where people are flying to LA and Miami to birth kids and bring in extended family based via chain migration on an infant being born in some scam clinic. The constitution you point to specifically reference under the jurisdiction of the US. Somebody here illegally or overstaying a visa is not and would under US law (not being enforced by the Biden/Harris administration) is not and the American public thinks this has gone on to long.

Agree. But if they start with the following, the nation (except wokes) will be grateful:

"The data from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) says that, among those not in detention, there are 425,431 convicted criminals and 222,141 with pending criminal charges.

The figures include 62,231 people convicted of assault, 14,301 convicted of burglary, 56,533 with drug convictions and 13,099 convicted of homicide. An additional 2,521 have kidnapping convictions and 15,811 have sexual assault convictions. " (from Fox News, Sept 27)

I agree, that's where you start. And would add drunk drivers to the roster of first illegals to deport.

Simple. Make them leave in their own.

1. Eliminate all the free chit.

2. Give them a month to leave on their own. If they are caught, seize heir assets.

3. Use the irs the Biden weaponized and threaten to crackdown on companies that hire them.

Trouble is a lot of the free stuff comes from State Govt.

Hope T & his Congress withholds Federal funding from the non cooperative states to change their uncooperative opinions

send them all to sanctuary cities, provide zero federal assistance to those cities. Make their own taxpayers figure out how to deal with the problem.
Mandate that the illegals are not allowed to move from that city with punishment being immediate deportation.
