Defense Lives Here

The half court D was suffocating. Butler scored a lot of points in the second half in transition because Purdue seemed to relax a little with the big lead, but take away transition points and this was a terrific defensive effort.

D was great yesterday....... Butler looked like a non NCAAT team......but just maybe, that is the case.

And Painter never changes his offense. He stubbornly plays slow, plodding, half court.
Not true at all. In fact, CMP has had to go towards more sets this season because the players tend to take hurried shots. Never mind the fact Purdue led the B1G in scoring last season and currently sits 26th in the county and 1st in the conference with scoring 86.0 points per game.

What he is doing is called ‘coaching’...something I venture is not something you have done a lot of beyond junior high. If that’s slow and plodding, I’d hate to see what you expect them to do any better.
My post was TIC in the spirit of BoilerSteel "marveling" that our defense is so good without playing a zone. These are the two most common criticisms that the "realists" use for Purdue not winning.

I fixed my post above. :D
