I don't think it was a foul, but if the Minny player flopped, would one have been called? I really appreciate that he didn't flop, but instead immediately got back to play defense. Many players today would immediately go down to nurse their hurt pride and try to get a call.

my thoughts exactly. if he had done the yogi flop it would have been called a foul

What is amazing to me is that officials can now call a technical for a obvious flop and I've seen some flops but no Tech's.

You aren't seeing refs call techs for flopping because that is restricted to one particular situation--flagrant foul video review. From the NCAA release on this year's rule changes:

Faking fouls
During the use of a video review to see if a possible flagrant foul occurred, the panel approved a rule that would allow officials to penalize players who fake fouls. The NCAA Men’s Basketball Rules Committee felt that players trying to draw fouls by deception is a growing issue.

That may be but Isaacc got called for a foul they reviewed and to me it looked like the defensive player flopped. They didn't call a flagrant, but they didn't call the flop either.

No-one wants to be the "first" to do it, maybe? Or incur the "wrath" of the coach?

Of course, with Bo Ryan retired, that's one less volcanic reaction to worry about.

TV Teddy shouldn't have a problem calling it.....heck, I would think he'd relish and delight in the mere thought. He'd probably call it demonstratively with a "T"......and then "flop" to the floor to further signal the reasoning......
