Each week, we will take a look back at Purdue's most recent football game through Pro Football Focus' data and analystics. Today, the Boilermakers' 49-0 win at UConn/UCONN.

This is going to be pretty superficial because it's challenging to contextualize individual performance in a game like this one.

Austin Burton 14
Mike Alaimo 7

Running Back

(Note: Some wide receivers took backfield snaps)
(Note: The stat pack gave a carry to JacQuez Cross. They mistook Downing for him, it appears.)

Jack Cravaack 7

Offensive Line
Gus Hartwig 57

Greg Long 48
Eric Miller 37
Mahamane Moussa 21
Marcus Mbow 21
Josh Kaltenberger 21
Jared Bycznski 21

Grades and Such
(Take these for what they're worth due to game conditions and uneven volume over a lot of different players)

• Tight end Payne Durham was the offense's highest-graded player, followed closely by exceptional grades for David Bell and Jack Plummer.

• Purdue's top-graded run-blocker among its front-line players: David Bell.

Cam Craig, Tyler Witt, Greg Long and Payne Durham all graded very well in the run game, too.

• Greg Long, Tyler Witt and Gus Hartwig graded exceptional in pass protection. How problematic their matchups were, I don't know. Actually, pretty much everyone graded well in pass protection.

• In his snaps at right tackle, Cam Craig graded much higher than starter Eric Miller. Craig wound up playing 13 more snaps after Miller started. Might be interesting to see whether that position is up for grabs this week.

Misc.

• Jack Plummer's pass chart (only gonna do him)

No pressure: 11-14, 176 yards, 4 TD
Pressure: 5-6, 69
No Blitz: 9-12, 141, 2 TD
Blitz: 7-8, 104, 2 TD

UConn was credited with only one hurry against the offensive line and it was attributed to Jared Bycznyski in garbage time.

(Connecticut's two sacks were attributed to Plummer.)

• Purdue: One drop. Attributed to situational blocker Jack Cravaack.

• Dylan Downing gained 49 yards after contact and King Doerue 35.

Defensive Grades and Such
• Lots of very positive grades all-around but reserve linebacker Jacob Wahlberg work in mop-up time earned him a team-high overall grade, and it came over 20 snaps.

Kieren Douglas, Branson Deen and George Karlaftis were way up there, too, among players who took meaningful snaps.

Cam Allen and Jalen Graham were really the only two prominent guys who didn't grade very well in this game.

• Purdue missed only three tackles, per PFF.

• Purdue's whole defensive front graded very well against the run, while Karlaftis, Deen and Jack Sullivan did so as pass-rushers.

• George Karlaftis was credited with four pressures, three hurries and one hit on the quarterback.
