GRADES AND SUCH
• No shock: Milton Wright and Aidan O’Connell were Purdue’s highest graded offensive players—by a mile. Their grades were exceptional. Zander Horvath and David Bell were Nos. 3 and 4, respectively.

• RG Tyler Witt and RT Eric Miller was the highest graded lineman for a unit that yielded just one sack. This, a week after Purdue allowed no sacks at Ohio State. Some of that may have been schematic and some of that might have been the amount of game time NU spent in a three-man rush, but be that as it may, this was a good game for the offensive line.

PRESSURE PASSING STATS
Kept clean: 78.1 % 372 yards 2 TD
Under pressure: 57.1 % 51 yards 1 TD
Not blitzed 72.4 % 336 yards 2 TD
When blitzed 80 % 87 yards 1 TD

PASSING GAME
• Aidan O’Connell graded exceptionally when kept clean and not blitzed. Again, NU didn’t bring much pressure, opting to play coverage. Bad idea. AOC was most effective with play-action, hitting 15 of 19 passes for 241 yards with a TD. He hit 5 of 7 passes of 20-plus yards. His fav area of the field? Short center, hitting 10 of 11 passes for 74 yards. But he did most of his yard damage deep left, hitting all 5 attempts for 207 yards and 3 TDs.

• Milton Wright torched NU’s A.J. Hampton , catching 6 of 9 on the NU DB for 160 yards and two TDs.

• Just one drop, credited to David Bell.

• Purdue was credited with 148 YACs, 5.3 average.

RUNNING GAME
• Purdue ran most often behind right tackle Eric Miller, caring 7 times for 15 yards. The offense got almost nothing done up the middle, with 4 carries for 6 yards between the left and right guard. The most production came around left end with 3 carries for 19 yards.
