The plane is being given to the United State for use by the President.
It's not for Trump's personal use.

You actually think a president of the United States should actually get in a plane gifted by a jive country like Qatar? This goes against all security concerns.
Obama bows in front of a Saudi Arabian king and Faux News and right wing radio loses their Jim Crow minds. Chump is gifted a plane and not much is said other than some ne'er do well thinks this going to save taxpayer's money.
If this ain't some type of a bribe then I don't know what is. There needs to be some kind of investigation on why all of out the blue someone from the Qatar royal family wants to give the president of the US a luxury plane.

It won't be retrofitted and ready for use until Trump's third term, so what is your concern - other than that you appear to hate everything about Trump?
You realize that the adults in our government, and there are a few left, will never allow a president to fly on this plane unless they can strip in down to its shell and inspect every square inch of it for safety and security right? Not to mention the retrofit of all the defense measures that have to be installed. The comm equipment. The security equipment. We would basically have to tear it apart and rebuild it.
Or maybe you think we should just trust that Qatar would give us a safe plane that was free of any surveillance devices. The same country that harbored and funded Hamas for decades and is now trump's latest best buddy.

The plane is stated to be retrofitted, costing at a minimum tens of millions of dollars, while he's in office.
And they have also flat-out stated that as soon as he's out of office the plane is to be transitioned to use for the Trump Presidential Library (of which, of course there is none). In other words, for Trump's personal use at the expense of the American taxpayer.
And all by a nation that has been a long, long, LONG time mega-sponsor of terrorism:

The plane was made in the US and I’m sure we have the technology to check for such things as booby traps and spy devices.
