Time out...Purdue has the ball. Ball goes into Carsen who if cheated on can get to the rim. PJ has his man hugging him (tight on him) away from the ball, behind the line. Vince on opposite corner baseline away from ball behind the line. Morgan hugging him...even as the ball moves opposite and could have shifted at least 5 feet and still contended Vince if a skip pass were made. Carsen dribbles to the left and hands ball to Dakota, who has most the court with his strong hand in front of him...and the best passer on the team (even though he had two misques that game). Biggie acts like he is setting a ball screen, but slips towards the basket to get a pass from Dakota...quick enough to get a shot or drive, tall enough to make the pass and with high IQ...all with the other big man guarding Vince who has drilled them this night. Pass leads Biggie just a bit to much, biut the good hands guy grabs it, with morgan who had been hugging Vince away from the ball too much too late to defended as he is well in the arc and late to get there. Wasn't a whole lot different I seem to recall a couple of years ago when Davis drove around the right side (was about where Dakot had the ball) and hit the lay-up.

1:21 for the Ray Davis play.....also a "baptism" thrown in there around 0:49.

Yup, that was a great play drawn up by Painter and worked to perfection.
I think the PU coaches noticed Bryant trying to hedge too much on the high pick/roll and told Biggie to slip it and dive to the rim. That was a thing of beauty.

The great thing about this play is that had Biggie not been able to get to the basket due to the backside help, Vince was WIDE open on the baseline for an open jumper. There were multiple opportunities to find an open player.

Exactly...and why I talked about Morgan and where Vince was!
