Hopefully Michigan and Oregon fans hang around after their game. I would guess 90%+ would cheer on the underdogs.

Depends on who wins. The fans of a loosing team are more likely to head to the hotel or a bar. If Michigan wins I bet they stay and root for us. Especially since they think we can't beat them!

Would be a shame if fans of the losing team don't stick around. I get being disappointed, but you paid good money for that ticket and if you're a basketball fan at all, you stay for a Sweet 16 matchup, even if you don't care about the result. Or maybe that's just me...I'm sure there are fans that only care about their team and the $$ aspect doesn't mean anything to them.

I have family members going. Too bad it's going to be 90% KU fans... it's practically a home game for them.

I left Indy in '90 after we got beat by a late shot by Texas in the 2nd round. X beat Georgetown (I think) in the next game in what was a huge upset & great game from what I've been told. I like to get away from it if Purdue loses.

I'm with you. But look at the crazy negative reactions our fans have to our games, even the wins!:D Hopefully a big chunk stays and we are doing well to pull them in to our side.

This is why the tourney directors need to get away from the 'traditional' centers a bit more (which to their credit they are doing with the midwest a bit more coming up) but maybe getting you a #1 seed doesn't automatically qualify you for a damn home game in the tourney. I get the women's tourney because of smaller crowds and wanting more ticket revenue to hold on campuses...but Duke/UNC consistently playing in NC and Kansas consistently getting Kansas City is a bit tiresome.

it all depends, my dad and I travelled up to Cuse to see us vs Fla. w/ Schintzus and co., we laid an egg but stuck around for the W. Ken vs Cuse 2nd game, didn't root just absorbed the atmosphere.
