Great crowd last night for a game where students are all gone. About 98-99% full - with the exception of the high dollar black seats that filled slowly and ended up about 70% filled. Nice move by ADept to get people to the game on what would have been a poorly attended night.

Loved the new big screens. LOVED the opening with the lights on the audience cell phones all synced with the house lights @ the start. Did not know they did that since I had not been in a long long while(live far away) - cool deal for the atmosphere. How long have they done that?

I think last year was the first for boiler light show.

Did sound like a good crowd on tv, all things considered.

BTW - CE was awesome again last night, just on fire. Thought he would be the first recent Boiler to go off for 30+ ....would have too, if not such a blowout with his early exit.

game was fun altho the opponent provided little challenge. just a note to you beer drinkers. if you must buy, please dont spill the beer on your neighbors coat. really was not happy about beer sales to begin with and now i am even more displeased

We had an absolute blast! The boys were really excited about seeing the 'basketball boys' in real life and getting to dance to the band (Boiler Brass). We ate hot pretzels which the boys exclaimed..'They are bigger than our heads!' We had great seats in the 17th row just behind the remaining student section next to the Boiler Brass. They loved watching the Boilers play and both agreed that #31 was their favorite player because 'he is very good and shares with his friends'. Spot on analysis from a 3 and 4 year old when that player (Mathias) proceeds to then end up with 10 assists!

A memory I'll hold dear for the rest of my life! Can't wait to do it again and then take my grand-kids (and great grand-kids if I'm lucky) in the future!

I took my Granddaughters, ages 14 and nine to Purdues blowout win over Penn State last year and they liked having their picture taken with Pete and the experience was great for them.I am glad your kids enjoyed it all and your attitude about taking future generations to Purdue is perfect.Boiler up!

Thanks for sharing the thoughts and experience. Two thumbs up for the hot pretzels, alone!

i think i saw you leave after half with your wife and daughter? but i dont think we met. must have been another nice boiler fan :)
Wow my mistake...thought you told me that you were in 118 row 9 seats close to 19 or 20. Whoever that was, like a fool I went to that spot and talked to them. ;) Oh well, he probably told his wife..."I don't know who that was, but I think he has a lot of pictures in various post offices." I left with about 2 minutes to go...daughter is in Maryland. I had about 4 hours of sleep the night before and never had time to eat before the game and wanted to beat the traffic.

Now, I need to find the man from Center Grove that I talked with... ;)

Great pics! The boys are cute as can be. The little one looks like he could be hell on wheels.
Enjoy.
The older one is good at tennis already...the little one has good feet and will more than likely be a football player. Kid is fast...as in I have high school students who can’t keep up with him. Both are incredibly sweet and I’m lucky I get to raise them in to men. Being a single dad, I’m lucky I have two boys who really are cakework compared to some kids I see today.

I can’t imagine doing it alone but it is obvious you have the right attitude to do a fantastic job. You will mean more to them than any of you know.

Great game to go to on our annual trip back to Purdue.

Lots of kids in attendance dressed out in Boiler gear. It was great to see. Crowd was 12,800 I think. Not bad. I missed the Paint Crew but the pep band was entertaining. Great to see Brohm there. Always good to come back to Mackey. Best I've seen Carsen play in person. Can't wait for conference action to start again.
