go check out @bluebloodsbias and the ridiculous exchange after their post about A&M buying Scourton.

Guy who is evidently a trainer of some sort and Malachi Preciado's brother just going off about Walters.

Says Walters is really shady and implies that he made up the stuff about Scourton getting paid and fed it to media because he was just mad. Also Walters must have just personally been awful to Malachi to make him transfer. Says the OL coach wanted him back and he was going to be a contributor. He KNOWS all these facts about how shady of a guy Walters is. KNOWS. FACTS. Won't say, but he knows.

lol college sports is too much now.

Of course, Scourton got paid. That is the name of the game anymore. OSU did not pay for the best transfer portal QB that they got this week? Of course, they did.

As far as college sports, it is not college sports anymore. It is the semi pro or G League.

Nic himself commented, said the $650K/house/car story is false...but it doesn't matter what I got paid anyway, it was my market, I was getting that anywhere I went. lmao

Think the trainer guy is really upset that Preciado was almost certainly encouraged to enter the portal.

Scourton is getting paid, a dummy could figure that one out lol. He sounds shady himself if he’s going to twitter to express his feelings. Malachi might be a great dude but he transferred to South Alabama…like c’mon if you couldn’t crack the OL depth chart after last years sh*t show I don’t think you can blame the coach, the door was wide open for playing time. If Walters is shady what makes all those other coaches at big time programs? I can’t blame Walters, he’s pissed off and wants better players!

Do not pay much attention to Twitter. Like Burks, Scourton is gone. Good luck to you, next.

I do not know the exact rules, but 1st year coaches have an extra advantages in turning over its roster than a non 1st year coach. C Walters 1st year rule expires with this portal window. nothing shady about taking advantage of this rule.

sour grapes happens. I remember all the sour grapes thrown at Dieon last year.

hopefully Walters gets his personnel and depth pieces so we do not have to keep relying heavily in the portal in the future.

That story was from a you tube segment of Gold and Black. In all fairness, they said it was a rumor.

Of course he was. Everyone is on a 1 year contract now.

You produce, you can keep your spot, or maybe even go somewhere else and get paid.

You don’t, you get cut loose and end up at South Alabama.

We’re not in the “developmental” business anymore. Or at least we shouldn’t be.

And that is exactly why we can’t be upset with players when they leave. If coaches can cut them loose and show no loyalty they shouldn’t be expected to stay until they graduate

This is why agents don't show any love to players and players don't show any love to schools. This is all about business and money.

Agents who have been on players for years will drop with ease when they're a borderline draft pick. It costs an agency 30k to send that player to the combine and if it doesn't pan out....who doesn't get paid. I used to believe players shouldn't get paid and now I have a totally different perspective of this.

This was precipitated by the NIL Free Agency Unlimited Transfer Portal. The coaches can’t be any more committed to a player than the player is to the school.

Now if you had multi year contracts, that would be a different dynamic.
