I touched base with Purdue's new 2022 big man target from Sweden today and will have much more on him tomorrow and a full story at some point, too, but if you're wondering first off about Purdue's chances, I can tell you that he has offers right now from only Cal-Riverside, Iona (!!!) and Montana State, but has been hearing from Texas Tech, Oklahoma, Creighton and Stanford among many others. My guess is the Purdue offer gets him some new interest.
He wants to take visits before deciding — or at least visit a school before he commits to it — but that's dicey as hell right now. In my first ever time scanning the State Department and European Union web sites for recruiting context, I'm unclear on what exact restrictions are in place, but needless to say things are complicated. Berg is vaccinated.
