Through four games receiving only:

Rondale Moore 33 rec 372 yds 4 TD
Taylor Stubblefield 26 rec 276 yds 0 TD
Dorien Bryant 9 rec 156 yds 1 TD

Moore is the best offensive weapon we’ve had since Drew Brees. If we ever got to be big ten title caliber on the back half of his career I wouldn’t be shocked to see him win a heisman. He could be that good. So Jackson anthrop shouldn’t feel bad. A young stubblefield would likely be seeing the field and the ball just as little

David Blough is currently Purdue’s 7th all time leading passer with 7019 yards. If he throws for 300 against Nebraska he’d move past Jim Everett (7411). If he threw for 300 again against Illinois he’d move past Scott Campbell (7636) into 5th. If he averages 289.75 yards per game, he will tie Kyle Orton (9337) for fourth ... and if he goes absolutely bonkers, maybe he even reaches Mark Hermann at 9946.

Either way he’s in great company!

It's really fun looking up how Moore's start stacks up to others. Sports-reference goes back to 2000 for custom stat searches. Thru the first 4 games of any season this century, Moore is:

1 of 3 freshmen with 30 receptions, 350 rec yds & 4 rec TDs

1 of 2 freshmen with 4 rec TDs + 1 rushing TD

Only freshman (1 of 3 regardless of class) with 350 rec yds, 100 rushing yds, 100 return yds

I especially liked the fake pump to Moore on the hitch and go to Wright. A thing of beauty.

Man Crabtree’s stats are unbelievable! Averaged over 10 receptions, almost 200 yards, and 3 tds per game...
